Autodraft: first time help needed

A question about Autodrafting.
Say I want a Goalie as my first pick.
I list 12 goalies as the first 12 players on my draft list because I don’t know my draft position.
We have 2 goalie roster spots.
Will the autodraft draft 2 goalies for me (round 1 abd 2) to fill the roster spots or draft the first 12 Goalies as per my draft list ?

Hope the Fantasy pros get a laugh at this question. I’m just an Autodraft newbie .

The autodraft will draft at that particular position until that position meets the required amount. So if 2 goalies is the required amount in your leagues settings than it will draft in the first two rounds your top two goalies and then move to the next position and draft according to how you have it ranked from there.

Awesome thank you. I realize it’s a pretty simple question, however I’d rather be safe than sorry. Wouldn’t be very competitive with a roster of 12 goalies lol.

It will fill all open bench spots with the same position as well, until your bench is full.

But look at the good side here - you’ll likely start a massive goalie run then, and more skaters will slip through. LOL
