Keeper points only, please rank Kucherov, Huberdeau, Hughes, Barkov and Connor

I have posted a thread recently on my options for my keeper, I am drafting at 10 and 11. I have narrowed my options to these five players, and I won't pick a goaly that high. Points only, with bonus for ppg, shg and hat trick. Then window is 5 years.

I have them like this
Kucherov
Huberdeau
Hughes
Barkov
Connor

How do you rank them?

I know at 95% sure that these 8 won't be available. McDavid, Draisaitl, Matthews, Makar, MacKinnon, Kaprisov, Marner and Rantanan. So there is a good chance that one of my five target is also gone when I speak.

Interesting question, I hav them ranked as follows:

Hubs
Hughes
Barkov
Connor

Will be interesting to monitor… I think Connor and the Jets may have a challenging year…

I’d go Kucherov, Huberdeau and then having a hard time ranking the next 3 over 5 years as I see them so close and it fluctuating from year to year who is better.

For this year and a couple more, I say: Kuch, Hub, Barkov, Connor, Hugues

But, if this is the inaugural draft of a keeper league, maybe, BIG MAYBE, the strategy is to grab the youngest first, I might be tempted to go Conner, Hughes with your picks 10 and 11...

In my league (points only, partial keeper), players over 30 quickly lose trade value.

Kucherov will not be there at 10. However I think Rantanen will be there.

You have bonuses for PPG / SHG / Hattricks
For years Hubie and Barkov have been Florida's top PP and top SH guys. Now for Hubie that could change with Calgary; who knows if he gets top PP and top SH mins.

But Barkov is getting his shorthanded time alongside his top PP time. He produces at both.

For me if Barkov is available I am taking him. Then it is Rantanen(if he's there) or Connor.
Bonus consideration to Huberdeau.

Kucherov seems the clear #1 and it is very close between Barkov and Huberdeau for 2nd place.

For sure Kucherov will not be picked in the 7 first picks, maybe #8 but GM #9 hates him.

I am also considering Barkov/Connor since they are both in their prime (27/25), good goal scorers and low risk in term of floor.

My draft is this Friday and I am leaning toward Kucherov and Fox, or Kucherov and Huberdeau. Th epoint with Fox is that I think, since we need to take 6D, that having him on board is a huge advantage. Otherwise, if I wait, the option might be Rielly or Ekblad. Your thought?


Is taking a D at that position (10 and 11) is too high?

Don't take Fox that early. Do you think Q.Hughes will be there at your next swing? I feel in this set up him and Fox will be very similar value. Kucherov and Barkov would be my pick if available.

I would wait till your next selection to pick a D. Kucherov is the right selection for one of your top 2 picks and then go with Barkov or Hubs.

I just feel Huberdeau's floor is Barkov ceiling because Barkov tends to miss couple games and not Huberdeau
