Default No goalie strategy landed me a steamy pile of goalies

    Saros, Vanecek, Ullmark, Francouz, Quick

    Saros was my keeper.

I didn't have the draft picks to draft as normal, so I tried to go with skaters and managed a pretty solid team in sig. However, toward the middle and end of draft I grabbed theses dudes listed above.

I will only run with 4 and prefer 3 when possible. I feel like Saros and Vanecek are the easy choices but I'm asking the Dobber crew for help ordering the last three:

    Francouz,
    Quick,
    Ullmark

I'm currently trying to deal for Petersen. Georgiev and Swayman are not options so I'm trying to offer them handcuffs. I can also drop one of these Gs for Blackwood (to at least have the NJ net covered).
    10 Team H2H Points (Keep 1C, 2W, 2D, 1G, & 1 non-goalie):
G,A,+/-, PIM, PPG, SHG, GWG, OTG, FOWs, Hits, Blks, Maj, Mis, (bonus scoring for D-men makes them comparable to Wing)
    Wins, Saves, GA, Shutouts

    18 Man Roster (3 IR slots) Daily Start: 2C, 4W, 4D, 2G

    C: Zibanejad, Thomas, Tavares
W: Stutzle, Robertson, Connor, Buchnevich, McCann
D: Makar, McAvoy, Josi, Theodore, Matheson, Harley
G: Georgiev, Binnington, Kochetkov, Andersen (IR)

I think that group of goalies is fine. I like Quick the least of the 3 you have. You don't want Blackwood, he isn't even a guarantee to be the backup.

Oh and I just realized I got Allen too. I have a few guys stashed on IR but will have to drop a couple before 1st game of season.

FWIW, I'd have Blackwood down with Quick in that same area so I wouldnt bother with him.

Agree with this, except for the part about Quick being on a par with Blackwood. Quick is a UFA to be and might play better to try and stick around the NHL. But he's still last among the four.

I'd stick with what you have. Don't reach to complete any handcuffs and if someone else wants to complete their own handcuff, make em pay.

It's possible all of your goalies end up playing the majority of games for their respective teams and play well. It's also very possible any of the goalies you target play like shit.

Allen would be my first pick to drop

    All goalies suck
    All goalie advice is wrong
Any good play from a goalie is a happy accident

Updated now with more ranking of mediocre goalies:

    Saros
    (multiple gaps)
Vanecek - liekly starter, light competition
Ullmark - tandem guy, because team has 2 good goalies
Quick - UFA to be and not his former self, but still at least a NHL backup
    (gap)
Allen - NHL backup quality at his peak on a so-so team, likely workhorse starter
Blackwood - maybe NHL backup quality on a poor team, and more likely to be traded or demoted than be the starter without injuries.

Vasey's slump last year when my league was in the playoffs crushed me into 3rd. I punt goalies now in drafts for the most part.

The whole point of zero-G is embracing the volatility of goaltending. Trading yourself to a false sense of certainty is potentially even worse than drafting yourself there so I'm with the group, ride the wave of what you have.
