Nils Lundqvist to Dallas for top-10 protected 2023 first rounder. Confirmed. If it’s top 10 pick rolls over to 2024 without restriction. Could be another component coming to NYR.

solid deal both ways, he's a top ten defensive prospect in the league and he seems like he will instantly slot into top 4 plus PP2 if not 1. They are getting a top tier slapshot injected into their D corps. He also has two years left on an ELC. I like my teams return but I don't think the Stars were fleeced.

Of all the teams I had pegged as good fits for him, the Stars were the one I thought might throw a 1st their way rather than a mix of lesser picks/prospects/bottom 6 forward.

I think the fact he's a RHD inflated his value somewhat.
