Ehlers+3rd for my 1st
I was offered Ehlers, Jay O'Brien (PHI) plus 3rd overall pick for my first overall pick and I have been struggling with who to pick between Slaf/Cooley/Wright. Should I take Ehlers who is on a seemingly disfunctional team, or keep my first pick? Taking on Ehlers means I would have to trim about 6 million in cap space, but based on Dobber's projections, only Pastrnak and Gaudreau on my team are rated higher than Ehlers. So a cut won't be too difficult I don't think. Thoughts?

O'Brien is fodder in this trade. I'm not sure how/why he's there but none the less, this is an excellent trade for you. Pick whoever falls to you and smile.

My guess is that he threw him in because I am a flyer fan, but truthfully, I don't want him. When push comes to shove I will drop him when I am up against our max player cap.Originally Posted by Axeman33

I'm a huge fan of Wright so have him a tier above Slaf & Cooley (which is the minority take for sure) but I still would gladly drop down to the #3 slot for the ability to add Ehlers. Great deal for you.

im assuming you have a plug to drop to make room for Ehlers, this is easy accept. Everybody has their preference at this point but nobody really knows who will be best of those top 3 this year in long run, could be either of them imo. I would do it for top 10 pick...top 3 pick is no brainer imo.
