Raymond and Keller.
Hey All
Always great advice here ..
Narrowing down things and having a few trade offers sent my way .
keep 6
My locks : Panarin, Eichel, Svechnikov, Seider
Last 2 ?
Barzal
Keller
Raymond
Boldy
Also offered Marchand for my 3rd rnd pick …. For my 9th
interesting , but will only play half season and coming off the double hip surgery seems risky when not back until December ?
I really like Boldy potential
Barzal - same defensive coaching outlook
Keller - should be fit and rolling ?
Raymond .- Detroit team may just break out big this year ?
thoughts ?

Barzal/Raymond
In a league where +/- isn't an issue, Keller is ahead of Barzal in my opinion. Barzal keeps getting slightly overrated because he had one PPG season in his rookie year but that was 4 years ago. Maybe the coaching change makes him rediscover his offense but I'd rather bank on the player who almost was a PPG last year without much help around him and will get some help soon. I think he'll start this season slowly (coming back from injury and brutal opening schedule) but he'll be the better own afterwards.
And yes, Raymond ahead of both those guys. Boldy played a lot with Fiala and I'm a little scared of what will happen now that he'll need to drive offense with much lesser teammates.
Outside of last season, Barzal outscored Keller each and every season. Also, Barzal’s shooting percentage was 2% lower than his career average last season, while Keller’s shooting percentage was over 5% higher than his career average. To me, these signs point to Barzal being the pick.
It's true, he did, and yet those totals were still underwhelming. And while, yes, Keller will score less goals and Barzal should score more, the difference in shooting percentages weren't big enough for more than a 3-4 points swing. I'd rather bank on the player playing two more minutes a night who's currently on an upswing.
I look forward to circling back on this post at the end of the season!
Barzal and Raymond. Keller would be a suitable replacement for either but my gut reaction was Barzal and Raymond.
12 teams. Keep 9 any position.
7 prospects. D scoring 3.75 for goal, 2.75 for assist. Forwards 3.5 for goal, 2.5 for assist. 0.5 for hits and blocks. Goalie scoring -1.5 GA, 0.3 for save, 2 points for win and extra 2 for shutout.

The Debate between Keller Barzal is interesting on its own , but definitely shocked how unanimously everyone picks Raymond !
I do like the Keller upswing in all senses , and yes Barzal had the 1 season
But is Barzal really also set for his breakout year ? Only 300 games played ???
any thought on the Marchand upgrade or too risky to tell yet ?
He may just get dropped and I can pick him up in draft …

If Marchand is going to take up one keeper spot Im passing.
Raymond & Barzal
We are about half way through the season, and it has been fun watching the Barzal/Keller race. Barzal has 41 points in 40 games and is pacing 84 points. Keller has 36 points in 37 games and is pacing 79 points this season. Barzal’s shooting percentage is on par with his career average, while Keller’s shooting percentage is 54% higher than his career average. I will admit that this is much closer than I thought it was going to be, but I still like Barzal by a fair margin. Nonetheless, it should be fun to track these two the rest of the way!
The bigger surprise to me here is Raymond. If I could go back and re-select my two players, I would swap out Raymond and put Keller in his place.
As you should. I blew that call too.
