Demko is the much safer keep. He doesn't have the injury history like Campbell, he's more consistent, and he was a very viable goalie last yr and Vancouver underwhelmed like crazy.

I'd keep Demko. I can very well see Campbell having a better yr though, but Demko is younger and safer.

For next season I have to go with Campbell simply due to the team. Demko is the better goalie but i think Campbell will have the better production next year

This is extremely close but I will go with Demko. Not because I am a Canucks fan which I am but because I don't like new players on a new team year 1. It works out sometimes but a lot of the time they need to get used to their surroundings before excelling. Heck look at Markstrom even with Calgary.

Demko is already comfortable on the Canucks and I expect them to be closer to the second half team than the first half team of last year. They won't be as good as the Oilers but they should only be max 10 points behind them in the standings. For me that makes me want to take the superior goalie who is already comfortable. Demko.

I normally agree with this train of thought but it's more for players traded mid-season versus players moving in the off-season. If a player has a full training camp under their belt, I find that makes a huge difference versus someone coming in mid-season. Also, it's less of an issue for goalies because they don't have to adjust to coaches styles/new linemates, etc. Goalies have one job and that's to stop the puck. As someone who plays goalie myself, and play for lots of teams, my style doesn't change one bit no matter who I am playing for. Goalies styles don't change from team to team, or coach to coach, or system to system. The team in front of them doesn't affect that as much unless the team in front of them is worse than what they came from and I don't think that's the issue for Campbell. His biggest hurdle is staying healthy, not so much the change in team.

    Demko for me.

As someone above me said, new players on new team take time to adjust, Campbell was used to the way Tor played, will take time the way Edm plays...or doesn't play? hehe defense.

That being said, both goalies play for teams with a porous defense, Demko has shown he can still put up rather good numbers despite that. Tor was no stalwart on D, but I'd hazard to say they were better then Edm was/is.

    Wins - Campbell
    Saves - tie
    Save % - Demko
    GAA - Demko
    SO - *shrug*

I like Demko for this one, although the better scoring team argument for Campbell is good.

I like Demko - yes, weaker team, but he is imo the significantly better quality goalie and should easily beat Campbell's GAA/SV% and even shutouts. Given that Demko's a workhorse and Delia ain't going to be taking too many starts, I'd even say Demko's a good bet to challenge Campbell in Ws, especially as Campbell is not super-durable.

Interesting to read all the responses and different takes so far. But for 1 year, this is my gut feeling too.

Wins - Campbell (Oilers are the better team)
Goals Against - Campbell (will play fewer games)
    Saves - Demko
    Save Percentage - Demko
    Shutouts - Campbell

I think Demko will play more, which throws off my rankings a bit. Overall I'd go with Campbell and run the risk that he stays healthy.
