    Default Thoughts on Tage Thompson

    Hello everyone,

I'm curious to have your thoughts on Tage Thompson. League in signature (cap league, points only). He'll be a free agent in our upcoming draft and I was thinking about taking him with my 1st round (2nd overall). I'm not asking you to chose from the list , it's just to give you an idea of what's available.

    Available:
    • This year draft class
    • Few decent prospect
      • Krebs
      • Tomasino
      • Sandin
      • Sharangovich
      • Byfield
      • Dach

    • Mid 20s guys that are question mark (might fade or rise)
      • Eriksson EK
      • Farabee
      • Bennett
      • Konecny
      • Mittelstadt
      • Necas
      • Zacha

    • Servicable vets
      • Malkin
      • Hall
      • RNH
      • Hertl (good, but 8M$+)
      • Bertuzzi (Vaccine rule is still in effect + UFA at the end of this year)
      • Hyman
      • Horvat

Dobber see Thompson as a 70pts player, so to me he'd be at the top of the list. There are vrey good players in the list, but no "sure thing".

What do you expect from him this year and beyond.

    Thank you!

I picked him up mid last year and watched him a bit. He just blitzed it. If he plays anything like that he's going to score 30+ goals many times in the NHL and take 250 shots a game. So sure, I can see why you'd take him there given there are no home runs in this years draft.

Points only I'd take Tage, especially if you are a contender right away. If you have a longer view, I might trade down a few spots and target Byfield.
