Default Dougie Hamilton is bouncing back... right?

    Hi all,

My league is multicat and I am planning on keeping Dougie.

Just getting a read on whether there are people who doubt he bounces back after a pretty down and injury affected season? Hes going back to something like 15-25 yeh?

If he only gets 40 points, that will not be a bounce back.

I expect a bounce back. He had some really freak injuries, honestly the last few years (that random broken leg on the nasty fall, a broken jaw, and a broken toe. That is all wrong place wrong time type stuff) and honestly looked pretty good at the start of the season on his first with a new team. The Devils are getting even stronger. I think he is still likely to be a fantasy beast all things considered.

I think he will bounce back, since New Jersey should be better this year too. But it would be interesting to see which player you could keep instead of Hamilton too.

I expect him to bounce back - it's a worthwhile bet, at least. I am hoping the GM in my league will drop him this off season. If not, I'll probably try to trade low for him if the season gets off to a slow start.

I’m with them others. A bounce back and as that NJ PP becomes more lethal he will start to approach previous numbers.

Dougie seems to start off slow on his new teams THEN becomes an absolute machine. Maybe its a comfort and non-fluky injury thing.

He will be a good value pick this season and I am targeting him in the mid-rounds.

I'm with the others who are expecting a bounce back. Have him in both of my leagues I play in and while it was a rough year last season the man is too good to keep struggling. I think he finds his stride in NJ this season.

yeah, he has him 42 but missing a ton of games for some reason

if he plays 82 or close to it, no way he scores 42, that would be a disaster - he should be mid 50s no problem

that said, as an owner, it was SUPER annoying to watch as Severson ate up all the PP1 time, like wtf

Always bet on talent. Yeah Severson ate up time last year but he had the perfect storm to do it and Dougie couldn’t catch up at that pace once he got back from injury. A clean slate is very different and I think Dougie is the most talented offensive D on the team. I think he gets his place back on PP1.
