I am happy with him, although he sometimes doesn't crack my weekly lineup for the team in sig.

I have Severson on a roster I inherited that's a cap multi-cat, and I'm thinking about cutting him.

Dougie is, somewhat quietly, on a 25G 70+ pt 300+SOG 35PPP pace. After a sluggish start he’s really humming now, and is excellent at the top of the umbrella on what is a pretty killer top PP unit with Bratt and Hughes on the flanks, Hamilton’s going to get a ton of PP apples this year. His career high is 18 PPPs (27 pro-rated for 82), good chance he shatters that this year.

Well when you can ice Makar, Fox, Carlson, Ekblad, Letang, that’s not a knock on Dougie, holy smokes are you in a league with toddler GMs?! LOL

It's got a very weird scoring system and D can provide value two ways. One is the obvious by scoring points. The other is by playing on the same team as the goalie you start to boost the goalie's SV%, which is our only goalie stat. It's much easier to assemble a team that has, for example, a couple offensive D, and the other are from the two teams of your goalies. I have the minimum 2 required matching D, then go all offense, because it's worked that way. I started with a goaltending tandem of Hasek/Roy form the inaugural list draft back when I was completely new to fantasy hockey and didn't really know what I was doing.

So most teams use the easy route, because I've grabbed offensive D when I sense one coming along. One of my buddies literally sees when I grab a young D, then picks him up in another league if he's available. He's 4 for 5 on hitting on guys with that route.

I still have to laugh at Blackhawk fans when they argued that Jones was the hands-down better player than Hamilton after their fateful Jones trade and contract in comparison to signing Hamilton as a UFA a couple years back. Homerism sure does cloud the judgment sometimes.
