Question Question about Yahoo! Live online draft

I manage a small 8 team fun league for my golf buddies on Yahoo!
Every couple of years we do a complete redraft with random draft order.
I have set the draft date.

My question is, do I need to generate the random draft order prior to the live draft or will the site do that for me at draft time ?

    Appreciate the help. Cheers

It will do it for you. You can also set it before hand if you wish to create your own way of determining your order. All up to you.

Both are options. Yahoo will randomize when it is setting up your draft portal about 30 mins before draft time.

Alternatively, some of my more gambling addicted 'friends' want to see an actual live stream of lottery balls being dispensed. You can then manual input that draft order.
One day I will quit fantasy hockey, today is not that day.

Awesome, thank you. We do this every couple of years and I can never remember. Too much time in between.

The lottery ball thing would be pretty cool for my group.

We've done some unique things in the past such as playing a beer pong round robin tourny a weekend in advance and your placement from that determined the draft order. This obviously favoured the guys who drink/play beer pong more often than the others so there were some minor complaints which made us switch the method the next season. Did a random draw for a number that was associated with a Nascar driver and based off the position they finished in the next race determined our draft position. That got a little messy when 2 owners had drivers in a wreck and didn't finish, so the latest was randomly getting a golfer for a PGA tournament and going off the outcome of that.

Lots of fun options, or just stick to the Yahoo! randomizer and keep it simple

We used to do this as well. Everyone would submit their preferred draft position and any ties would be broken in a beer pong or flip off. That was in another life before we all had kids though. In recent years it was decided by someone taking a video picking names out a hat lol. Less fun for sure but still something to look forward to.

Kids and beer pong aren’t an issue. Our group is age 60 to soon to be 80. I might have to consult a time capsule and get creative. Lol cheers

Years back I bought a bingo game something like this to do our NHL and NBA leagues draft lotteries.

Every year I record the drawing of the lottery balls and upload the results to our leagues' Facebook group.
Goofy, but we have a lot of fun doing it.
