Same league as league in signature but rebuild and TOI is scoring Category.

Originally I moved Hronek, Lukas Cormier and 12th overall for John Carlson

Then I flipped Carlson and Stankoven for Keller and the 6th overall ( Cutter Gauthier probably)

How did I make out? Is the 6th overall as big as a upgrade on Stankoven as I’m thinking?

I would have held onto Carlson... he was probably the third most valuable player on your roster after Makar and Drai.

Love the first deal for you - absolute steal - and hate the second one.

That isn’t the same team as league in signature if that were my team I’d hold onto him. My objective is to rebuild and that was my best offer

I think you should have stopped after the first deal as well.

Net it's sort of a meh result. 12 OA to 6 OA isn't a big gap IMO in this years draft - I'd be equally as happy with a guy like Kemell vs. Gauthier. I don't like Keller in a multicat league, but if this works out will hinge on him. If he scores at a 50 point clip, I think this is a net loss as he's not going to add anything else. If he gets to 70+ points its a slight win.

Even if it's a different roster, Carlson should net you a top 3 pick at a minimum on his own in this scoring format.

First deal was great, second deal was bad.

That second trade will hurt you.

I actually like Keller in your league and think he's hit his prime as a 70-80 point player. So you won't be disappointed with his contribution.

BUT, from a value perspective, Carlson is worth more given his production as a defenseman. If Carlson is a top 10 d-man in your league, I would have targeted a top 10-20 winger (and Keller is a bit lower).

First deal great. Second deal moved you backwards a tad.

Hronek, Stankoven, Cormier & 12th OA for Keller and 6th OA. If you had only dealt 1 prospect, that's a clear win, even though the drop from 6 to 12 is likely in the same tier. Dealing 2 means you need to nail the pick.

You sold Stankoven a week too early.

He is going to have a solid World Junior Championship and then his value will skyrocket.

You know what you’re probably right about this. IMO he can’t be valued as a top 5 pick like Nemec tho can he

recency bias plays huge for those guys that have a huge World Junior tourney.

I think of guys like Max Comtois. He was such a coveted asset after his world junior tourney - and he only score 6 points in 5 games.
He was drafted in the same range as Stankoven.

So if Stankoven plays with Johnson and they light it up all tourney - some will see his value as huge because what they seen at the tourney.
And since Nemed isn't playing there will nothing improving his value.

Like I said - recency bias in fantasy sports is huge. And the amount of coverage this tourney gets biases people's opinions.
