Expecting the #NHLBruins to sign 25 y/o RFA F Pavel Zacha to 1 year $3.5M deal. He'll be a UFA on expiry.

He had very similar scoring to Puljujarvi (1 * $3.0M) in 21-22 & settles his arbitration for $500K more.

Bruins are at $84,741,667 cap with 14F, 8D, 2G.

Removing 1F (Oskar Steen-$800k), and 1D (Connor Clifton-$1m), they will be at $82,941,667. So they still would need to drop $400k. Which means a guy like Zboril ($1,137,500) might be buried in the AHL and have an NHL cap penalty of $1,137,500 - $1,125,000 (max buried allowance) = $12,500.

Cap would then be $81,816,667. Meaning they could go to $86,466,667 with the performance bonuses, which would penalize the 2023-24 season and they'd be at an upper cap total of $80,533,333

But when they come back I don't think they really gain anything.

They'll be fine to start the season, but I don't think there's any like culminative gain. They also start with Grzelcyk on the LTIR too to start the season.

I am very interested to see where Zacha slots in to start the season since Marchand is away.

As Kreji and Bergeron are on 1yr deals and are over 35 their performance bonuses are not counted as part of the cap hit.
