NHL Mock Draft 2022-2023 - Discussion

The NHL mock draft league is back again for 2022-2023!

You draft your team in the summer and that's it. No moves, no trades. Your team is your team. It's good practice for the fantasy season and a bit of fun to look throughout the year to see who drafted best (or luckiest) at the end.

We are flexible on league size. PH co-managing with me again this year.

Format:
Snake
# of rounds depends on number of teams, but last year our draft was 288 picks long (11 teams, 24 rounds). We will try to keep people picking at a reasonable pace. The draft will take place on the forum, and the results will be uploaded onto the Fantrax league as we go.

Start date:
Draft lottery Thursday night, draft starting Friday, August 12.

Mock draft settings:
One Year League Rotisserie
G, A, Pts, PPP, +/-, PIM, Hits, Blocked Shots, SOG, and W, Sv, Sv%, GAA, SHO

Positions:
12 F
5 D
2 G
5 UTIL - Any position (including goalies)


PenguinHunter will be helping me conduct the draft, which will take place on the forum. We will upload the results onto Fantrax again so we can check to see who drafted the best (and had a bit of luck!) at the end of the season - just to have a little bit of bragging rights to motivate us!

I hope to have learnt my lesson and not draft too many Habs...but still a few, they looked good offensively under St-Louis!

I'm honestly just following my projections and I don't have a lot of love for Habs players after Suzuki and Caufield who should be enticing to many after how well they ended last year.
