My games played really keeping me down. 4th lowest GP for player (not counting Also-Rans).
Keep in mind too I'm also the only team (I think) that didn't take more than 2 goalies...

Ehlers and Nich injuries hurting... at least Marchand back.

Yay! But if I’m so smart, why did I play Hellebuyck last night?

Goalies are killing me, good skater drafting saving my bacon - weird as my strategy was going goalie-heavy. Petersen was a bad bet, at least so far.

At least I'm in a better position than a few weeks ago

edit: looking at my team, it looks like I made some horrendous bets. Imagine Byram getting hurt. Sillinger, Zacha, Puljujarvi and Balcers haven't worked out either

Well my strategy was to pick 4 goalies including the Carolina tandem to maximize Ws and secure a good GAA/Sv numbers (esp Swayman), but 25 games in Andersen/Raanta out with injury and Kochetkov has seized a continuing role (minimum 1B I think), and Petersen sent to AHL after a horrible start. Ironically having only Swayman and no Petersen may help vault me up goalie peripherals other than Ws. As it is the rest us working fine, in 4th largely because of homerun picks like Robertson, Petterssen, Fiala, Bratt, Fox, Petry and Killorn/Paul. We’ll see!

Squad is doing quite well. Will have to do this league again as it was quite helpful in informing some of my other drafts.

    Highlights:

Nico Hischier (14.9) - Breaking out! I didn't take advantage of this in any other league because I pushed in on Jack Hughes and hate to double-stack Cs off the same team. Hughes is great, but I had to reach a little for him, and Hischier was a guy you could take well outside the top-100 (including this league) and is delivering well inside of it. He's one of my 5 best skaters. Of course, part of why he fell in this league is injuries so there's still time for disappointment. But even 60 games at this level and Hischier covers the bet.

Joe Pavelski (9.6) - I have this guy in every league and intend on making that so every year. I keep saying I'll trade him in my keeper, but he just keeps producing, doesn't miss games and is just a delight to root for. I'm certainly I'll be the one holding the bag when he finally craps out, whether that's next year or the heat death of the universe.

Spencer Knight (11.6) - Figured I'd get 30-35 games of decent goalie for a winning team. Looking like closer to 50 if this keeps up. Also, apparently the 11th-12th round was where the goalie bargains were had in this league with Logan Thompson, Vitek Vanecek, Knight, John Gibson, Ville Husso, Linus Ullmark and Cal Peterson all going in a 20ish pick stretch. You almost couldn't miss!

Artur Kaliyev (21.6) - Most of my other leagues are too shallow to have been able to bet on Kaliyev breaking out, so I had to settle for this league being my lone share in his stock. The stock is booming though, he is an absolute weapon on PP2. There are other even bigger breakouts who went later than Kaliyev (Dylan Cozens for instance!) but this is the one I felt strongly about so I am happy to see the dividends even without prime usage.

    Lowlights:

Igor Shesterkin (1.6) - I was very fortunate to not pick in no-man's land in any of my other leagues so I avoided this quagmire. In a different setup, I probably take a RW like Rantanen or Kucherov after the no-brainer first 5 picks, but given the nature of this setup, it made sense to grab a tentpole in net and then basically eschew the position the rest of the draft. Shesterkin hasn't even been bad, just not otherworldly, which is the expectation when you pick a goalie this high. However, as Alex MacLean (Eskimo Bro) once told me, you take an elite goalie high for their floor not their ceiling. In that case, you could easily call Shesterkin a highlight.

Mat Dumba (12.9) - A meh pick achieving miserable results. Dude has as many points as Jani Hakanpaa. I hope the Wild tank and trade Dumba somewhere he can at least get some PP2 time. Still room for him to get back on pace for 30 points and salvage this pick.

Brendan Gallagher (19.6) - I shouldn't be too disappointed. He was picked to provide a good volume of shots and hits and has delivered. Was hoping for a little more offense though. Even 40 points would bring value.

Bryan Rust (10.9) - If last night is any indication, the worm is starting to turn on this one. Still providing good volume of shots and hits. If the goals start falling at even a 10% rate he'll do enough. Currently shooting below that, however, and I had to drop him in other leagues where I had drafted him.

Rust has had good underlying stats, so a lot of his slump was luck (or lack of).

I'm up to 5th, but that Caufield injury is going to hurt.

I'm ahead of someone(hovering between 7th and 8th) that predicted I finish last while he finishes first

I hadn’t looked at my drafted team since the draft ended. Please, could I have that team in all my fantasy leagues?
