    I got a B grade.

Not bad considering a 9th round auto pick of TB DEF, idk why it didn't take from my que...
Then didn't pay much attention until the 13th (got hungry )

Week 1 looks to be a close matchup!

Very happy with my draft. Considering I didn't get a lot of time to prep, I think I did well. Yahoo gave me a B grade which I believe is fair to slightly generous.

As my knowledge of the NFL has diminished, I definitely leaned on veterans whom I felt were dropping for more trendier, younger players.

My only disappointment was trying to wait one more round on Jalen Hurts. I really thought I could snag him in a little later but I missed. Still, Prescott and Rodgers feels like a fine duo to me as we all have strong QBs in a 10 team league.

I really hope my late DeAndre Hopkins pick pays off as I really thought he could be a strong difference maker in the second half and we were all filling our benches at that point so my starters remained strong with the potential to be even better!

Last year, I was decimated by injuries, hopefully, my backups rise to the occasion if that should happen again!

I wouldn't say any huge shockers. Definitely some guys who fell and I think most of us had a misstep or two.

My queue got decimated in Rounds 2/3/4 resulting in some panic picks.

Round 2 I expected to have one of Kamara/Barkley with pick 15 overall but they went 11/12 and Najee Harris fell to 13. I don't hate my Davante Adams pick here but if I could have seen how the next couple of rounds would go I would have went Jones or Kelce here who went with the next 2 picks.

Round 3 I was targeting Hill/Andrews/Chubb/Samuel. Given that I went WR in Round 2, I really would have preferred the TE or RB here but Samuel should be productive. Considered Zeke here too but figured he might slide to me in Round 4

Round 4 - Zeke did not slide. Pitts was another target here but he went right after my Deebo pick. Was excitedly watching Allen who I promised myself I would draft if he fell to Round 4 but Invictus snagged him two picks ahead of me. In a panic I needed an RB and went with Edmonds. A little early for him but I still like him more than Eli Mitchell, Breece Hall or AJ Dillon who were the next best left.

Getting Herbert in Round 6 makes me happy and makes the reach on Edmonds a little easier to swallow

I couldn't leave Stafford on the board in Round 11. I like to carry a second QB just in case.

I'm also really happy with my round 13 Isaiah McKenzie pick because I think he could end up being a steal that late.

All in all a very fun draft and should be an interesting season

My strategy was simple: Draft 3 RBs with my first three picks (which I did, grabbing Mixon, Kamara and Conner). Then focus on TEs and WRs. Grab one of the top defenses (Buffalo at the start of round 8). Since it's a start one QB in a 10-team league, not to worry about QB until late since there will be lots of good options on the waiver wire for my QB's bye week (got Brady at the end of round 9, no backup QB).

I had one misclick. In round 4, I wanted a TE. My plan was to grab Kittle, but when I was going through my queue, I spaced out and selected Gabe Davis by accident. Kettle nearly made it to me at the end of round 5, but was selected a few picks before mine.

I'm also in the camp of some missteps.
My early round picks were a lot different then the players I thought Id get.

I'll give a more in-depth look at my team later, but for now I think my starting lineup is pretty good:

    Josh Allen Buf - QB
    Ja'Marr Chase Cin - WR
    Diontae Johnson Pit - WR
    Najee Harris Pit - RB
    Ezekiel Elliott Dal - RB
    Dalton Schultz Dal - TE
    Antonio Gibson Was - RB
    Jerry Jeudy as a backup.

    My bench isn't good though...

The only shocker to me was how many teams drafted back up QBs ( I will dive deeper into this in a bit.

    1.7
    - I was really hoping my decision did not come down to Henry/Kupp/Jefferson cause I didn't want to have to decide between Henry and the two receivers. Luckily all three of them went before me and Dalvin Cook was left sitting there for me!

2.4 - My ideal start was Cook and Swift in the first two rounds - Then I could name my team Swift Cook in the @$$.... and when I got Cook in round one and Swift was available in round 2 and at the top of my queue.... I somehow managed to click on Leonard Fournette and selected draft for him. This rattled me... oh I was pissed... but I needed to get myself together... too late now. What makes it worse is that Swift made it all the way back to the CMC owner... Zorro!

3.7 - I never draft Tight Ends early... but I had just finished listening to the Fantasy Footballers Bold Predictions episode and they predicted Kyle Pitts to be the top Tight End for the next decade... so this might be the only year I ever get to own him because he will be first round value next year.

    4.4 - Mike Williams
    - Again highly influenced by Fantasy Footballers on this pick- basically from this point on I followed the Fantasy Footballers list to a T... they have Mike Williams as their 9th ranked WR... and I got him as the 14th WR off the board... Yahoo hated my draft but if the Fantasy Footballers ranked it, it would likely be an A+.

5.7 - DJ Moore - On my Fantasy Footballers cheat sheet - DJ Moore is the last player available in a tier. After 4T2 sniped my Panthers in the NHL Wins pool right before me, I figured he is going to do the same thing to me here... and I am very lucky he doesn't. DJ Moore is ranked #12 by Fantasy Footballers and I take him as the #21 WR off the board. At this point I am starting to feel better about the Fournette mishap (which the Fantasy Footballers would love cause they have Fournette ranked one spot ahead of Swift)

6.4 - I considered taking Jalen Hurts here... but I couldn't afford to spend up on a TE and a QB and have one of each in 6 rounds... so I wanted to fill my flex. I went with the highest ranked WR by Fantasy Footballers... #20 Amon-Ra St. Brown...and I snagged him as the #24 receiver off the board.

7.7 - This is where 4T2 and Invictus really started to snipe me. I had one player left in a Tier of RBs and he made it to the pick right before me... CEH... Oh I was getting excited to have him as my first bench player.... but no!! So I went back to the WR Tiers as I never like to grab the first RB out of a Tier unless there is one I really love. So I went with another WR with Brown last name - Marquise Brown.

8.4 - Knowing I need a RB here as I only have my first two in Cook and Fournette - I get excited about my next pick Kareem Hunt. I think he is being very overlooked with Chubb... but there is a stat out there that when he is healthy he is always a top 24 on a points per game basis.... and again the Fantasy Footballers are much higher on him than others... And Cleveland is going to rely heavily on Chubb and Hunt as their two best offensive players.

9.7 Another snipe by 4T2 taking Cordarelle.. I didn't want him, but he was the highest ranked player on the FF cheatsheet by a large margin, so I had convinced myself to take him. So in a roundabout way I am personally happy that he did so that I could land a personal favourite of mine for this year - Christian Kirk.

10.4 I was eying in on Rhamondre here and Invictus takes him right before. This happened way too many times in the middle rounds. I considered a QB hard here but with Wilson, Burrow and Trey Lance still available and only two teams needing a QB between my 10th and 11th round pick... I was okay waiting another round. So I grabbed Rashaad Penny. He is good when he is healthy so hopefully he stays healthy (if not I am not worried as you will see later)

Between pick 10.4 and 11.7 - Burrow, Wilson, Trey Lance, Prescott and Stafford all go. So much for only two teams still needing a quarterback - I guess there was 3 teams that weren't happy with their earlier pick of quarterback so they needed a good backup as well. So I decided at this point I will wait until late and take some late flier.

11.7 - I was happy with my WR depth so I needed another RB the top RB on my list wasKenneth Walker III. The last time I drafted a III it turned out to be a great pick in Melvin Gordon III. And I already had Rashaad Penny... so why not grab the split and see which one earns the field. I know Seattle won't be good... but Pete Caroll likes the run game so hopefully one takes off.

12.4 Still searching for some late round RB upside - I decided to take the rookie running back drafted by the top team in the league. Singletary is not the greatest RB - so James Cook should be able to earn some playing time hopefully in time for playoffs... The Bills wouldn't have drafted a RB in win-now mode if they were totally satisfied with their RB room... He is my early pick for my team's League Winner if I end up winning the league.

13.7 - Basically at this point I have the rest of my draft mapped out - Take Derek Carr in round 13 - Has he ever had a WR like Davante Adams, and he also reliable Renfrow and a good tight end... I expect a huge season out of Carr and am very happy to take him in round 13 after the fiasco that happened earlier when I thought I would get Burrow or Wilson or Trey Lance.

14.4 When I said I had it all mapped out... well I thought I did. Denver Broncos Defense was not the D I thought I would get in Round 14. I thought I would be left to pick the Colts D against Houston... but the Broncos and there matchup against Seattle in week 1 was just sitting there ripe for the picking.

15.7 Jameson Williams In round 15 it was going to be Brian Robinson or Jameson Williams. Someone beat me to the punch and picked Robinson in round 13. this is okay with me... because I am nervous how long recovery will be for someone who got shot in the legs...and it sounds like Jameson Williams is going to be back sooner than expected. Hopefully not sooner than Seattle has established a clear number 1....or Penny is injured again.

Well I put a lot of faith in the Fantasy Footballers for this draft... hopefully they know what they are talking about this year. Yahoo gave me a C+ and pretty much said that all my picks were higher than ADP... but according to Fantasy Footballers and Sleeper ADP results they were below ADP... so we will see how much I can trust the Footballers going forward..

    Great draft everyone!

Ya well you payed me back sniping Christian Kirk. That round is where my draft went off a cliff.

Personally, I grabbed two QBs because injuries at the position killed me last year. I'm usually a one QB guy, especially in a 10-team league.
