I think with the right deployment he can be a 60 point guy which, would make it a reasonable deal.

And just like that, Calgary's offseason is unofficially complete. They do have 7 NHL dmen to figure out, but that's not a problem.
As for the deal, they needed to keep a top 6 on their roster, and had cap space. This deal won't limit the ability to re-sign Huberdeau, might make Lindholm's deal something difficult to do, but that's down the road and they have plenty of guys coming off the cap in 2024 to help them out.

I really like Mangy Pain, but I don't know if he's worth it in a cap league. The good news is that he hardly played with Gaudreau or Tkachuk and now he might get more PPTOI. Decisions, decisions.
