Just got off the phone with a guy that knows & I think that Nazem Kadri is done to @NYIslanders

They have to clear out some cap room & then it’ll be announced. I’m FAR from an Insider but I’m very confident that it’s done. Great signing by NYI & Nazem Kadri deserves every penny.

#Isles fans, multiple transactions are looking close. In addition to all the Nazem Kadri chatter, which I believe is valid, some internal house cleaning is also being taken care of. When will all the dominoes fall? That’s up to you-know-who.

The exciting part is the multiple dominos that could fall here: salary subtracting trade (who goes, and where?), Kadri signing, and likely Dobson/Romanov re-signings as well.

it isnt difficult to dump salary, just gotta pay the price anaheim/arizona want to do so haha

kadri will help but they already have barzal, nelson and pageau so itll be interesting to see how it shakes out.

I'm not sure who would move to wing ; Nelson or Barzal if Kadri gets signed . My guess would be Nelson since he played lw for many seasons before getting more and more reps at center

Perhaps moving forward the rumours section should be restricted to confirmed trades? Or maybe rumours widely reported by the top 3 NHL sources and broadly known to everyone?

With the report of MacKinnon wanting $13m+ aav, I dunno if they can do that lol.

Well they can make it work with moving on from like Girard, and promoting Byram. But work needs to be done just for MacKinnon, let alone adding a $7m in with Kadri.
