    Default Benier vs Wright

I have the 1st overall pick in a Cap League. We drop 3 min per season.
I've been eyeing Wright for a few years,... but the 4th overall pick got me spooked. And Matty Benier is still available.

Who is a better pick short and long term?

I don’t think this one is particularly closeWright will be 1C in Seattle and Bernie’s will need to settle foe 2C imo

Berniers for me. He's the #1C right now, and is NHL ready right now. Give the guy who is doing it. I am not saying Wirght couldn't be the correct call, but I'd have Berniers over him right now.

The better pick is Bernier in the short term I believe. As stevegamer says, he's NHL ready and the opportunity is there. However, I also believe in the long term, that being two years, three max, that the better pick will have been Wright. Time will tell, but I would not be at all surprised if Wright's slip in the draft and all the ink spilled as to why will provide him with more than enough motivation to get the fire back in his game and prove folks wrong. The skill set that marked him as a generational talent a few years ago has not magically disappeared. We'll see.
