I prefer the upside of Tarasov, but don’t see him getting very many nhl starts in the near term. For what it’s worth, I don’t see Forsberg getting a ton of starts either.

Hey guys, who'd you rather have. Not necessarily just for next season but also the next four seasons. Cats are W, Save% and GAA.
Thanks in advance.

Tarasov will probably only have value in years 3 and 4 of your timeline. But Forsberg's probably already had his best year unless Talbot is out for an extended period of time. I too will take Tarasov's back end over whatever Forsberg has to offer. The longer you extend the time window, the more it favors Tarasov.

Tarasov is behind Elvis for 5 years.
Forsberg is 1b at worst this year, and likely 1a the two years after that.
I go Tarasov if I'm doing the 10+ year rebuild. Otherwise, I'm going Forsberg.
Tarasov, won’t take much to takeover Elvis. Could be a couple of years but with his potential could be a bonafide starter.
Call me old one more time.

I expect 1 season max before tarasov is in the NHL in atleast backup capacity. He has the upside of a elite starter, I'll take him over Forsberg allday anyday if it's one or the other in dynasty circumstances.
Elvis has a 5 year contract. That doesn’t mean Tarasov is behind him for 5 years lol. Tarasov for me.
Long term, give me Tarasov. I think his ceiling is much higher than Forsberg's. However, it will likely be 3-4 years before Tarasov has any chance to become an impact fantasy player. So it really depends on your timeline. I would expect Forsberg to be more valuable for the next 2 years, possibly 3.
