Projections for a few players

Next year, what are your projections for the following players:

Johnny Gaudreau
Mathew Barzal
Jesper Bratt
Shea Theodore

Because we still have no idea what might happen in the offseason, I'll give you numbers I would feel comfortable betting the over on.

I think all or none of them could easily be +/- 10 but it remains to be seen whether or not their outlook from last season improves and by how much.

Here's my take, for what it's worth:

82 (comes back to reality, but still a ppg player)
75 (benefits from a coaching change)
65 (small step back)
55 (benefits from Eichel addition, plus Stone/Pacioretty rebound)

Johnny Gaudreau - PPG +
Mathew Barzal - 65 - 75, this ones tough, but the Isles can't be any worse offensively than they were last year and Barzal is a talent.
Jesper Bratt - 70, he is the real deal. If the Devils offence gels some more he has higher upside and could reach it, could push PPG.
Shea Theodore - 60- 65, I think he is ready to truly establish himself and, like the Isles, Vegas should bounce back from a pretty disappointing season.

Gaudreau - 75-85pts

Barzal - 60-70pts. 11-12s%, 160-180sog, 17-22g, 45-55a, 62-77pts. Large range but mostly depends on who's around him

Bratt - 55-65pts. His s% is odd where one yr it's high the next it's low. His PDO is the same roughly each yr. I think he settles his s% into the 10-11% range this yr. Shooting 180-200sog. 18-22g. 40-45A if the team doesn't get hurt. 58-67pts off those numbers

Theodore - Dependent on how they choose to deploy him. If he's PP1, 55-65pts, if he's PP2, 40-50pts. Cassidy might value Pietrangelo over Theodore on the PP1, or he might want to save Pietrangelo for more intense defensive role and use the PP time to give him a rest. This is really the thing I don't know.

I’m not quite convinced yet on Barzal having an offensive boost. New coach yes, but they hired the guy who has coached under Trotz for years on multiple teams. Who’s already come out and said the teams identity wasn’t going to change. Kind of confused as to why they let Trotz go and promoted his protege vs just keeping Trotz if the “new voice” will end up saying a lot of the same things.

I don't think it happens, but if Gaudreau goes to NYI, I'd boost up Barzal's points by 15 at a min. If you sign JG, you are essentially changing the way you should be deploying that line and allowing them to be off leash.
