Rank these player combos, in a keep 4 + rookie carry-over (pts only, goals weighted higher):

Kane + Drais

Josi + Drais

MacK + Josi

MacK + Kane

Kaprisov + Fox

I currently have Drais and plan to keep 1 of Josi or Kane, as I only have room for 1 of them, but I'm looking at some trade options as Drais is expiring after this season.

I acquired Josi and Kane last season and Kane has 1 year remaining, Josi has no contract.

I've had interest in all 3 of Kane, Josi and Drais.

Clearly I'd be gaining some pick advantage in any prospective deal.

in a goal oriented scoring setup you're not trading a 26 year old Draisaitl for anything not named Connor McDavid. Kane had the quietest 90-point campaign, better chances he matches or comes close next year in comparison to Josi getting 90 again which I will not rule out (hoping for as an owner) but more unlikely. IMO a league like this where you seem to be constantly rotating in new cores, when I have one of the two best players in the game I am pushing all my chips into the center of the table to win it all in the coming year, worry about the "rebuild" later.

The McDavid owner has played hard ball with him in any discussion previously, as in Drais + +, which is wild to me. And how would I not be be competitive with MacK + the pick vs Drais?

The problem is Drais is expiring after this year so can't keep him forever, and as a guy gets close to expiry guys know that and will throw lower offers out there I'm sure, batman vs robin man lol.

I'm not flush with picks, I had Draisaitl in previous years and thought I had solid teams and didn't win, just got beat by others.

I thought this would be a good way to re-shuffle and get everyone slotted nicely, plus get some draft picks.

And are you saying you like the Drais/Josi combo best? I was hoping for a ranking

Anyone else? I shortened my post. I just want some feedback, based on my cats how people would rank those combos in a keeper.

Further context:

Drais 1 year remaining

Anyone I acquire I can top up their contract or put them at 4 years (Ie: MacKinnon is a 2 right now, I'd make him a 4).

The advantage of doing a deal now is that I'd get a new 4 year keeper, otherwise I'd just be putting Svech at 4 who is fine but we don't know what is ceiling is yet..

The McDavid owner knows he will get a kings ransom for him, and he'd never trade McDavid for Drais straight up, he was already talking ++ when we talked about it in the past year lol.
