Default That was the best Final since.......

That was the best Final for me since the 2013 Hawks/Bruins matchup. If you don't recall, that 6-game series had 3 OT games including a triple OT game, the 2 goals in 21 seconds game 6 clincher, and the other two games were decided by 2 goals one of which included an empty netter. The best series I've ever seen overall was the 2014 Hawks/Kings WCF, 7-game series. Anyways, how say you?

I have been a Colorado fan since the days of Sakic & Forsberg. I have also liked Tampa Bay ever since Lecavalier, St.Louis and Richards. Aside from the 7-0 blow out game, the series was one of the best that I can remember.
Colorado with its depth and relentless speed. Tampa Bay looking to 3peat. The series reminded me somewhat of the upstart Oilers trying and then successfully replacing the Islanders dynasty.
As far as best series I’ve seen, I can’t recall specifically, however every Colorado - Detroit series I have seen is “must watch hockey”. All out battles, take no prisoners.
I may not recall the details but I will remember this past Colorado - Tampa Bay series for some time.
Colorado’s speed and depth overwhelmed Tampa. However Tampa just refused to go quietly into the night.

I agree. Dom L from the Athletic had an article yesterday detailing how good these playoffs were overall. From all the 1st round games 7s, to Edmonton/Calgary, Toronto/Tampa, all the head-to-head star matchups, star performances including McDavid, Drasaitl, Makar, Shesty, and then the culminating Final. I don't want to be a prisoner of the moment but these playoffs have to be on the short list of the best ever.

    Things we had this year:
    - Game 7 involving Toronto
    - Oettinger
    - Battle of Florida
    - Battle of Alberta
    - E.Kane could have gone for the goals record if they made the next round
    - McDavid and Draisaitl going for the points record
    - Makar
    - Shesterkin's emergence
    - Tampa going for 3
    - Maroon going for 4
    - Perry got his 3
    - A full set of games finally for ticket revenue. Long term this is good for the cap
    - LA, Florida, Tampa, Carolina, and Dallas being over 25% of the playoff teams. South has success
    - Kadri overcoming racist in the St Louis series
    - The amount of game 7s this yr (6 of 15)
    - 2 overtime games in the finals.
    - What the playoffs this yr created for the offseason. Toronto storyline (another exit), Colorado FA, Calgary FA, Washington realization?, Florida realization?
