Long term, I think Cozens will be the better goal scorer so that fits your league setup better but it's not an easy choice. Buffalo just needs some of their young wingers to develop.
Hi everyone, who do you like better in a points-only dynasty format where goals are worth 2 points and apples are worth 1?
Anton Lundell or Dylan Cozens?
Cheers!

It's pretty tough to project out long term. There are just so many unknown factors that come into play. That said, I'm going with Lundell. I think his shorter term (next 2 - 3 years) will be more substantial than Cozens. Beyond that, it could be pretty much a dead heat, we'll see. Lundell is a year younger than Cozens yet he has already earned a spot on a stacked Panthers squad and has produced. He has already established a pretty solid base to build on and I fully expect him to do just that. From what I can see Lundell has a very nice mix of play making and scoring ability so I'm not overly worried about that in goal heave format. I like that environment for him much more than I like Cozens situation in Buffalo. Cozens hitting his "potential" will in large part depend on the Sabres offence maturing and improving. Lundell is surrounded by elite offence already. Again, what things will look like 5 years from now, who knows, but Lundell for me for a few more years.

It’s pretty close but Lundell has a good chance to have a bigger role on a talented team. I’ll go with him.
Call me old one more time.

i disagree with this...is team more talented? sure, but he wont have bigger role then Cozens mostly because of that...he will never be ahead of Barkov...is Cozens #1C? time will tell , i think he would be better in 2 but he is the best option on the team atm....
As for the OP, i dont think you go wrong with either, i go Cozens but again, either works

Thanks everyone. Yeah, I'm torn. When I watch Cozens, I can't help but think "goal scoring center" a la, young Jeff Carter. With Lundell I see "well rounded force" a la, young Barkov or Kopitar.
I also agree that these guys project to be very close. I'm just wondering if prime Cozens flirts with 40 goals like Carter did? Internationally, Cozens has been a goal scoring machine. If he can bag 40-45 in his prime, that's hard to pass up in a goal-bonused format.
But, man, Lundell is just so smooth, polished and well-rounded. Toughie.

Both are solid owns. I think Lundell needs to shoot more to be a better scorer in the league. Will be interesting to watch both these kids develop.

Cozens for me.

I'm worried Lundell gets forced into more defensive roles, and for that reason I prefer Cozens. I think deployment and overall roster opportunity are the tipping points, if we were looking at talent in a vacuum they would be even.

I'm curious what Florida does with their cap situation.
They have Bob at 10m and Knight there. Yandle is a 5.4m dead cap. They're at 79.4m in cap so 3.1m in space for 1-2D, and 4F. We could see some cap causalities on the team. Maybe a spot opens up more for Lundell.
I think Lundell and Cozens will end up being the same tier of production this season, and it then depends on the way Florida views Lundell after. 2Cs on a good team can easily outproduce a 1C on a meh team. I'd stick with Lundell for this season and can re-evaluate afterwards with Lundell likely having the higher value by a smidge. I'm either going with Lundell, or asking to wait till after the draft where things tend to be more clear in the trade department.
