DraftRules

  • The Draft for the NHL and Prospects League will begin on August 1st.
  • The draft order for the NHL league will be determined by lottery system. The order will be a snake system (So if you pick 1st in Round 1, you pick last in Round 2). The Prospects League draft order will be the reverse of the NHL league draft order. This is to prevent someone from possibly getting a high pick in both drafts and walking away with Connor McDavid and Shane Wright as their top picks.
  • The draft lottery will take place on Sunday July 24th at 4:00 PM. This gives team owners a week to work on strategy for both league drafts.
  • Each team will be given 1 hour to make their pick. Once the hour is up you will be given the highest ranked player on the board.
  • The draft will begin every day at 8AM, and pause at 9PM, until all 32 teams have selected 23 players.

  • For a player to be in the Prospects League, they need to have been already drafted by an NHL team, or between 19 and 23. When one of your prospects graduates to the NHL they will be added to your NHL roster!

  • At the beginning of every season, each team will be given $100 to bid on available free agents. These can be players in the AHL who are called up to hell fill in for players on injured reserve or prospects that have suddenly been signed by NHL Teams.
  • I will process free agency bids every Monday and Thursday morning.
