I already accepted and I feel like I made out well here.

I seen a post asking about the Fiala vs Kane in another thread which inspired me to send him a offer of the 2 straight up and he countered with that.

Is this a good deal?

I think you made a good deal.

Kane will still be better then ppg for another 2 maybe even 3 seasons.

Fiala is a solid player, but we don't know for sure his situation for next season. Also I think Kane still potentially breaks 100pts this coming season

When I sent the offer a part of me was thinking what if he gets traded to New Jersey and plays on Hughes line. Ottawa definitely isn’t a good fit.

Tough one to call - fairly even trade. Patty Kane is clearly the bigger name brand, and the better scorer in the short term (still potentially capable of 100pts). But I think we are finally seeing what Fiala can do. Give him a little more TOI and PPTOI (which Minny will have to do if they pay him what he is worth after this year's performance) and I think the gap between the two players is pretty small. So you've likely improved slightly for the next year or two, but you've given up some longterm production. You gave up a little more on the pick side, but assuming this is a prospect draft, the gap between 6th and 9th is not incredibly significant, and you won't know how that plays out for a number of years.

Looking at your roster, I m guessing your team is pretty strong (goaltending is a question mark). So assuming your plan is to compete now, I think this deal makes you incrementally better, and makes sense.
