I would prefer the two picks in 2023 by a fairly large margin in a 16 team league. Worst case scenario is you traded one of the aforementioned 2022 top guys for the 15th and 16th picks next year. That's not a great trade but you are probably better off in 5 years with that trade anyway. Best case scenario is that you get a top 3 pick next year and another player. The top end of this year's draft is not good so it's a great year to take a chance.

Fantilli, Dvorsky, Yager, Heidt, + Bedard & Michkov are 6 I like more than anyone in 2022 (aside from Wright). Haven't done a really deep dive on all 2023 guys but Musty, Stramel, Ritchie, Carlsson, Jarventie, Sale & Wood are 7 others I'm really intrigued by too at this stage.

It's not that Cooley/Slaf/etc couldn't be "as" good as the guys I'm listing - I just feel like 2022 is more the "year of the D + Wright" and 2023 will be super high-end F-heavy.

I also see Wright as the next Tavares... and LOTS of people on here see him nowhere near that level... so as always encourage anyone to take my own personal non-pro/armchair scout thoughts with heavy doses of salt!

i guess i really haven't dug too deep past Bedard and Mich myself, but ill stand by my earlier post in that in keeping this years over teh 2023 class unless you can 100% get into the top 2. i myself am not as high on Wright as some here or even in my own league either so IF i was picking first OA this year, id be looking to move down.
