Disagree. Kucherov taking his time to get to the bench gave whoever's job it is to hand him a stick even MORE time to do so. The reality is that both guys made a lazy mistake in assuming it was going to be icing.

Stick broke at 35s left, puck was dumped at 32s, he was at the bench with 22s left in the game. I'll agree both (EM and Kuch) are at fault being lazy. But Killorn (I think) was sitting on the boards ready to pop over once Kucherov was off the ice. My argument is Kuch took his time to get to the bench (came in at a weird angle from where he was when it broke, so I assume he coasted to the other side of the ice assuming it was icing, even though he'd need a new stick anyways and should have been going to the bench...), if he was purposeful, or even direct it would have either given the EM a clue to get the stick, or it would have given Killorn more time to get on the ice, and a passing option for Hedman.

But the reaction of Kucherov is so him it feels like (coming from a guy who doesn't know him at all lol). Guys low key dirty. Emotional (pros and cons of that). And to me he gave up on the team in that moment. Get off the ice and freak, he clearly knew he wasn't getting his stick in time if he's throwing his gloves.

But whatever, emotions get to you in that situation and Kucherov wasn't thinking. He had a pretty sub-par series for him, missed a 2 on 1 earlier, had nothing going at the end of the game. Stick broke on a chance.

Actually the whole line change was awful. I think I count 5 guys on the ice for Tampa with the goalie pulled, and then they had 2 guys hope on when the puck comes back when the ref bumps into the TBL player.

They were not organized there if I counted the guys on the ice right.

Isn't big but Newhook and Byram just turned 21 (Jan28th and June 13th respectively) so they can openly have their fun at the parade June 30th without worrying about "legal" issues.

Kucherov probably coasted back to the bench because he thought there would be an icing call. Probably the same reason the equipment manager took his time. The linesmen had already called a couple of really iffy icing calls in the minute or two before that, so there was probably the assumption that one was going to be called as well. When it wasn't, Kucherov and the equipment manager were caught ill-prepared.
