Cooper is quite theatrical with his response on the OT goal with the missed too-many-men. And also, I haven't heard of refs coming up with a statement after an OT goal before? What the heck was that? Like I don't mind that they did it, it's just I can't remember a time when they've done it in the past.

Couldn't watch the game last night and just saw the highlights knowing there was some sort of missed too many men call on the game-winner and I expected much more than what I saw for this to be a story. This is probably Cooper simply being frustrated and throwing the refs out there but that was not too many men, or if it was, it was on both teams as it was a sloppy change from both sides.

Congrats to the Avs, sick pass by Lehkonen and great play by Kadri. I can see the Bolts winning game 5 and turning this into a much more tense series though. Can't wait for Friday!

The too many men is just part of the game. Could have been called, it wasnt. Many others should have been called throughout the game especially in the third period the refs definitely put their whistles away as there were several interference and boarding calls that should have been called.

Ultimately the Avalanche dominated the overtime and hit 2 posts in the extra frame before Kadri buried his chance so an Avalanche win seemed inevitable.

Cooper wasn't hurt over the phantom highsticks against the Leafs. Had 0 words over that. Now he's crying over a way more borderline call. Nah. Not something I'm fond of.

Bednar didn't have a problem with the call. Of course he didn't. If it had gone the other way and TB had too many men on and scored in the same fashion, I'm betting he'd be singing a different tune.

Bednar might have a different opinion if it was Tampa, but he was absolutely correct that that play happens 20 times a period, including Tampa also doing it on the same shift.

I feel like Tampa knew they were getting outplayed, and during the game was trying to grasp at straws to get a PP. I've done that during games.

I genuinely don't understand the people who celebrate this. Everybody complains about inconsistency from one call to the next and it seems to be one of the biggest problems in the game. And then half the audience says things like this. How is it a good thing to effectively change the rules mid-season or mid-game????!!!!

There's 3 options really.
1) Call everything
2) Call nothing
3) Game manage and make sure both teams have close to an equal amount of PP opportunities despite one team committing more infractions than the other.

I rank them in that order on how I'd let to see them implemented, so once the precedent was set early in the 3rd period of that game specifically, then it's let the players play...

i like tb and their dominance the past 3 season has been a stuff of legend. they appear overmatched this time around though so i hope colorado ends it tonight. while 2 of the games went to OT and theoretically could have gone either way, colorado dominated both those ots and rightfully scored the winner to win both those games.
