    Indecent, not interesting. Short attention span? Already tired of McDavid being the best player in the league already? I do understand the criteria for this award says most valuable to their team, and Draisaitl might give the impression that McDavid isn't the sole driver of his team. Are the actual votes from each voter made public? They should be, especially when you believe McDavid is only worthy of a fifth place vote for the Hart. Just feels wrong to me. Oh well, another day in the NHL.

    And somebody gave MacAvoy a first place vote. 2 guys gave Josi a 4th place vote. Put name to vote then things might change. This is just dumb. That MacAvoy vote cost Josi the Norris.

    Wonder if they should be doing their voting like they do right now, then get the top 3, and re-vote only based on the top 3. Would remove Chris Tanev getting a Norris vote.

    Ya like:
    1st place votes = 5pts
    2nd place votes = 4pts
    3rd place votes = 3pts

    The points values are wrong above, but that's the reason why.
    Makar - 1631pts (92-98-5-0-0)
    Josi - 1606pts (98-76-17-3-0)

    ---EDIT---
    Points Value is:
    1st = 10pts
    2nd = 7pts
    3rd = 5pts
    4th = 3pts
    5th = 1pt

    You're assuming that vote would have went to Josi instead of Makar...

    There will always be boneheaded outliers when you have a voting system like this. I agree the voters should be public and held accountable (like in boxing)

    20 people thought Josi wasn't a finalist in the Norris. That's wrong.

    I suspect that people who voted Josi 4th or 5th thought that Makar was the Norris winner but knew Josi would be close and nerfed his points.

    He had 3 - 4th place votes and 0 - 5th place votes.

    That's only 3 people who thought he wasn't a finalist, and 3 potential people who may have "nerfed his points".

    Cale is the best Defenseman in the league, and quite frankly it's a travesty the voting was even this close.

    I definitely got some "Josi has already won a Norris and Makar arguably shouldve won last year so lets make it up with some questionable voting" vibes

    Agreed. Nobody in their right mind would take Josi over Makar.

    I must of quickly looked at 3rd+4th thinking it was 4th+5th. My bad.

    1000% agree. I have no idea why they're protecting these ancient media members.
