I like it. Tkachuk is a stud, and Kyrou should only improve as it’s likely Perron will not be back.

I like Huberdeau. But Tkachuk is a great fit for your league. And at 24, he is just entering his prime. I'd be doing what I could to add him to my roster in your format.

    G, A, +/-, PIM, PPP, HIT, BLK, W, SV, SV%, SHO

    Keepers:
C - Matthews, Eichel, Hughes (LW), Pettersson
LW - Kaprizov, Svechnikov (RW), Guentzel, Fiala, Keller (RW)

I also think Tkachuk is a slightly better fit, and this should be Huberdeau's peak. Kyrou/Mercer should be pretty even. However, Copp seems like he's pretty good in your format as well.

How did Mercer, Copp, and Kyrou end up rating this season?

Tkachuk was the best player in the format , then Huberdeau and Copp and Kyrou finished close to each other in league scoring. Mercer was further back.

I think in the end, its a fair swap of talent. That team gets a little deeper with acquiring 3 players, but I love Tkachuk in the format for his banger stats and Kyrou I think still has a another level.

I think it's a reasonable deal for both teams.

Honestly I don’t think Tkachuk will be as good as he was last year. I see him as a sub PPG player without Guadreau. Does anyone else not think that or am I crazy?

Watching him against the Oilers (aside from game one in which he scored two goals + and empty netter), he didn't look that great. So, I don't think you're crazy. However, he is a good fit for cats presented in the OP. Pretty even trade in my opinion.

If you can wait, I'd wait until Tkachuk's contract is settled. The rumour is and has always been he wants the max dollar he can get (no discount) and will hold out.

He isn't hurting for dollars, his family isn't. He can wait it out. That's my only note with this deal, should wait until the contract gets settled, and even if Gaudreau is re-signed.

Thanks I did the trade. I just really liked it and pulled the trigger. If he holds out then that's the breaks. Its a dynasty league so regardless, he'll play at some point, but I won't make decisions based on what he may or may not do. I just went with my feelings on the overall trade. Thank you.

If waiting increases the risk of not making the deal happen then you did the right move.

Good for you!! All too often the real facts and objectives of a trade gets lost in what ifs, maybe's or what happens when .... All this "noise" is pure speculation and most times doesn't play out the way the speculators suggest. This is a good deal for you and it will very likely pan out for you regardless of what "noise" if any happens.
