Suzuki/Wright REP
As a Canadiens fan, I’m very excited about Wright (most likely) coming to Montreal. As a Suzuki owner, though, I’m a bit concerned. I would expect once Wright is in the show for good, he’ll be given top PP. I would also expect Suzuki to stay there too. It’s just 5 on 5 I’m concerned that in a couple years, Wright could leapfrog Suzuki. Is it too soon to be worried about Suzuki’s long term value?

i think you really need to stop worrying about this lol...im sure every scenario you come up with, reality will be slightly different. There is so many factors at play here. I dont know how you can assume that player that is not in NHL and is not projected to be an absolute superstar will take PP minutes away from someone ....i think wait it out and see what happens.

At best, he takes over 1C in Montreal in 3-4 years. These kids take so long to actually find their way in the NHL I dont think you have anything to worry about any time soon. Look at the previous top couple picks and see how long they are taking to start to find their way.

I think you will be fine for 3-4 years. After that anything can happen. Maybe Wright will hate it in Montreal and demand a trade to Toronto and HE becomes the guy to take them past the 1st round only to get swept in the 2nd round. Good luck.
