Schiefele or Kuemper/Markstrom [REP]

My 9th is a toss up between Schiefele or Kuemper/Markstrom

I previously made a trade where if Kuemper re-signs with Colorado I have Kuemper, if he signs anywhere else I have Markstrom.

I'm trying to sell Schiefele for a solid return, but if I'm unable to which would you prefer keeping?

It's a bit of a cop out by me, but you'll need to see where the chips fall this offseason.

Kuemper is a UFA and his value is totally tied to him staying in Colorado. Scheifele is a good keep, but he could go to NJD or Ottawa and I wouldn't be too surprised and at that point I wouldn't keep him. Not like he would be a bad keep, just not for me. Then Markstrom is the safest keep as of today.

If Kuemper stays in Colorado, he's your keep. If he doesn't Markstrom is the keep. If you don't want to keep a goalie, and Kuemper isn't in Colorado I would understand Scheifele as the keep.

Ya, just too many potentially moving pieces here to do anything but guess and that's not such a good idea (:

2014olympicgold has pretty much nailed it. If you can wait to see how things play out that's ideal, if not, you take your bet shot and hope for the best.

Whether it's Kuemper or Markstrom, I would be tempted to keep a second goalie here.

Moved Schiefele for Mason Mactavish, Brennan Othmann, three 3rds, 2 4ths and a 5th. All the picks are spread out over the next couple years.

We only draft 50 prospects so those 3rds are like 20-30 overall from the NHL draft.

Happy with the return as there wasn’t much of a market and with the way the goalie landscape is these days I feel more comfortable having 2 to start the season.
