    The Great One

    Default Kuzmenko

53 in 45 KHL games last season- still only 26. Some great teams looking to sign him and word is hes looking for term so he should have some shelf life in NA.

What do we think of him???

It really depends which team he chooses. I do not think it is a given he gets Line 1 / PP1 out of the gate. He has a chance to succeed but most players who come to the NHL later from Europe/Russian falter. Guys like Panarin/Kaprizov are outliers and not the norm

Depends on where he goes. If he goes to a team that one shouldn't really trust as a FA such as Toronto or Vegas, he's a hard pass.

If he signs with a team with lots of opportunity, that would be ideal.

Beware ala Gusev. Big hype around him too but nowhere to be seen.

There is a significantly long list of "Gusev's", beware. If your willing to take the risk, fine, but go in with your eyes open.

i think you need to take the risk you just need to be aware of what you giving up. Lets say he is eligible in entry draft since he has not played any games in NHL, then its ok to take him maybe with 2nd or 3rd round as risk/reward pick. Its not ok to lets say draft him with 10th overall. Just need to wage the risk/reward factor.

I think in general for this guys coming over we have no clue if it will work. I would say there is probably 50% chance he sticks in NHL for a bit and about 10% chance he lives up to the hype. But if you get something in the middle, it still maybe worth a pick.

Some of these guys take bit longer too....they not necessarily busts if they dont perform in first game...

i personally think there is small chance he is another Gusev and even smaller chance he is another Kaprizov, however i think there is good chance he is a serviceable NHLer with low end fantasy value.

Other factor to consider is the fact that it maybe hard for him to come over right now with all that is happening. Having said that, Fedotov just signed so im assuming he is crossing the Ocean and logistics have been figured out.

vancouver is probably one of the best spots for him for fantasy-relevance upside. finding chemistry with elias pettersson will be key

I was thinking the same thing. How will he work along with Elias Pettersson. If they can both improve each others game somewhat this team will improve quite a bit.

Yeah I think Vancouver is the best case landing spot for him. Given that your team is in a rebuild, I'd say he is worth taking a flyer on in your draft, once the top choices are gone. Most competitive teams won't want to risk him, so I am guessing he will drop pretty far in most drafts, making him a nice risk/reward grab.
