Teams who win the first game are 499-228 in NHL history.
One of the 228 is this Leafs core vs Boston a few yrs ago.

Leafs were dominant. Leafs were hungry. What an impressive kill on an absolutely bone headed penalty by Clifford. Tampa just couldn't get settled after that abysmal PP.
[QUOTE=blayze;2190699]That 5 min PK looked more like a PP for the Leafs. Bolts were done after the Leafs killed that one.
Lol, so true. The Leafs had more offensive time in the Tampa 5 min powerplay too and got so many more chances.
There was a video of Matthews walking into the dressing room in a suit before the game where he winks at the camera. His hair and hairline resembles the old man wigs I'd wear for Halloween as a child, or mad scientist hair.

LOL if you think the Leafs will play this consistent.
Vas the last 2 playoff runs after a loss:
14-0, 0.966s%, 5 shutouts
For those who gamble...maybe the under for the Leafs is a decent bet.
In Regulation:
U1.5 - (+380)
U2.5 - (+143)
U3.5 - (-161)
Including OT:

Simmonds, Maroon, and Perry fined $2,250 for unsportsmanlike conduct.
I'm pretty surprised they've done this. I get that it's likely their attempt to prevent this going forward after Rutta's cut being showed on national TV. But they allowed stuff in the past that were the exact same thing that happened last night, but now they've decided to fine them. Weird.
Nylander skated before practice but didn't practice with the team
Bunting practiced in full
Engvall didn't even skate
Campbell had the day off
So my assumption is Nylander and Engvall had a bad bruise after the blocks they had. Or Engvall had something in a scirmmish. Campbell gets his practice time managed all year. Bunting looks like he's back in.

Would love to have Bunting back for game 2. We're gonna need him
Wonder if they keep Spezza out. If it ain't broke...
I would think that TB cannot play that bad again. That was a very sloppy and uninspired effort. All credit to Leafs and hope they are ready for a different Bolts team. Challenge awaits them.
Call me old one more time.
