Just wanted to know how yöu rank following goalies for their future?
I know goalies are voodoo…but let‘s give it a try

Melnichuk
Konovalov
Fedotov

Each has good and bad points. I put Melnichuk last because I don't think he surpasses Kahkonen, who is a tick better and serves the same "young goalie" role.

Yeah I've got Fedotov at the top for upside... but lots of reservations on whether he'll come over or not.

Konovalov is #2 upside-wise for me, followed by Hofer and then Melnichuk.

But factoring in likelihood of arrival alongside upside:

Melnichuk

Forgot that Melnichuk is now in the TB system. Same reasoning holds, there's nowhere for him to go and the fact that SJ put their chips on Adin Hill and then Kahkonen ahead of him raises a little doubt.

Yes.

All of these guys will be blocked by the guys ahead of them on the depth charts until they prove otherwise.

For me, I'd bank on talent in order to leap frog. But no guarantees.

If any of these guys were blue chip level with a clear path... you wouldn't likely have a shot at them at this stage anyways.

So go with your preference (gut, perceived talent, crystal ball...)
