So I am near even in the goalie match, winning scoring. But if he pulls ahead in 2 cats today, it will end up a tie and I lose.

Currently score is (2w-2L-2 ties me vs him)
    Wins 1 vs 4
    Losses 1 vs 1
    GAA 3.43 vs 3.58
    Saves 108 vs 128
    Sv% 0.885 vs 0.877
    SO 0 vs 0

Skater scoring cats are (6W-2L-1 tie)
    Goals 11 vs 12
    Assists 18 vs 14
    Points 29 vs 26
    +/- +5 vs -4
    PIM 24 vs 14
    PPP 7 vs 3
    SHP 0 vs 0
    GWG 3 vs 1
    FOW 120 vs 150

Overall score is 8 to 4 with 3 ties

I am tied in losses and so. Losing wins and saves. Slightly ahead in gaa and sv%

He is playing JF Berube CBJ vs Anaheim
And jack Campbell Tor vs NYI

My options are play Reimer SJS vs Minnesota and
    Gibson Anaheim vs CBJ

I cannot catch him in wins, but I could lose the tie in losses with another loss.

My gut feeling is to bench these guys and hope he gets a loss so even if he flips gaa and sv% the losses tie breaks and I win another category.

My skaters are barzal, hertl, meier, olofsson, seider, werenski, dobson

His skaters are Matthews, marner, bunting, Nylander, bjorkstrand, Couture.

I have a chance to flip goals and score a shorty I guess. If the Leafs have a good game I could get screwed, but it's their 2nd of a back to back.

But mostly I'm focused on this goalie match. Reimer vs Minnesota looks bad on paper, and Gibson has been a tire fire.

Seems to be no reason for me to play my goalies. The risk of both letting in more than 3 goals is high, above 70% likelyhood and making my GAA worse. Sv% same deal. I can't overtake wins so why risk the loss?

His odds of Campbell having a good game are way better. Berube is a wild card.

    But I would like opinions

none of the matchups are great and too risky to sabotage what you're ahead in so I would say let the opponent deploy tendies and focus on forwards/defense. I'm assuming you're winning 8-4, if not then it would be a do or die and start goalies. You own three players going against his goalies so pray they go off for very crippling points to his cause.

I agree it's too risky to play the goaltenders you mentioned but is Tokarski not available? maybe even Spencer Knight if he starts? if Reimer truly is the best option I'd just sit my goaltenders and look to pick up a forward or 2 that could get you goals/points

It's not same day pickups and I am out of moves in any case. What I got it what I got

    oh right, I'd sit tight

I'm in a bit of the same situation with a lead I pretty much gotta ride out. got 2 pickups I can use though on later games if I need them. nerve wracking but a better call than doing something risky.

I'd be tempted to play Gibson vs CBJ. They're on a back to back and Merzlikins played last night. They're not a strong scoring team to start with. Toronto is likewise on a back to back but against an offensively challenged Islanders team. I think that's too big a risk to just leave it up to RNGeezus. You're numbers are already not great, the likelihood they get better rather than worse seems favorable.

Gibson has 2 wins in his last 20 games. 0 in his last 13. He has let in no less than 3 goals in his last 19 games, often 4 to 7 goals lol

I am not terribly encouraged here lol

But yeah, Columbus is a bad team so it's something I have a few hours to think over

I saw lol. I benched Reimer and saw he let 3 goals in already and is near 0.81%.

My opponent saw I benched them and benched berube so he can just live or die on the leafs game. I need the isles to win big tonight

I lost the week 7-6......and it came down to the last SOG in the game and Campbell made the save. Bringing my opponents save% to 88.6 to my 88.5

Was a brutal way to lose a match last minute. I was hoping a stat correction would change something overnight but a back to back Championship was not meant to be....At least I won the presidents Trophy, which is considered just as valuable in my league

Gibson was 88.6...If that would have won you the matchup that would be the most hilariously razor thin decision error in the history of fantasy sports.
