I LOVE Thomas. I would make that trade. I think he is a pt/gm player and more moving forward. I am keeping him over O'Reilly for next year.

On the surface I would make the trade. But on surface trades don't always end well.

Thomas: 61 gp, 17g, 45a, 62pts, +10, 13 hits, 12 ppp, 94 sog

Stutzle: 68gp, 15g, 28a, 43pts, -27, 142 sog, 21 ppp, 111 hits.

Thomas wins out in goals, assists, pts and +/-. Loses in sog, hits and ppp.

I think Thomas will out produce in assists and pts. Tim will be the better goal scorer and already beats him in hits, ppp and will continue so in sog.

For the ROS Thomas.
Next season and beyond I think I would want Stutzle. Has the grit for hits, loves to shoot the puck and growing with that young Sens team.

I like Jimmy Stu over Thomas with this setup. I tend to choose category coverage just in case of scoring droughts.

Classic over reaction to great season… while I like Thomas I much prefer upside of stutzle… he is my guy here…

I would not.
I view points and power play points to be a tossup.
I trust Stuetzle to win SOG, Goals, Hits moving forward.
I trust Thomas to win Assists moving forward, and +/- for at least a little while. However, I generally ignore +/-.

I lean towards Stuetzle, for many of the reasons listed by stevegamer. But in general, unless you are a huge believer in Thomas, I'm not sure why you would bother to make this trade anyway. In general, it seems like a lateral move.

Stutzle for me as well. All the reasons have been touched on already.

I think Stutzle has shown some pretty good playmaking ability this yr. I think once they became a bit more stable and develop a bit, he can get someone to help with the offense, he can take another step. Stutzle in his last 17games does have 17points, and 21pts in his last 25gp.

I think Stutzle needs someone else to play with to help the offensive load more than Tkachuk can, and in a more high end way if that makes sense.

I'm going Tim Stutzle, and not even really regretting it.

Tough call. I like the year Thomas just had but recency bias is probably playing into a lot of people's decision here and not giving Stutzle enough credit for the potential he has.

Stuetzle for me. I like Thomas too, but as said, he doesn't shoot or hit much at all. I like category coverage.
