I should not be trying to write sentences at 6:30 in the morning still half asleep. So not a morning person.

I don't think this pronoun thing / push is the best thing, but does show there is a weakness in the English language (and others too) to be addressed.

For various reasons, I much prefer languages where the personal pronouns are used to refer to us as general humans ( thus gender neutral). Finnish for example (not that I really know much about Finnish language) one word to cover both he/she .

I can sort of explain. Different languages have different evolutionary paths, and different pronoun usage. Things will likely evolve.

Right now we have he/she, him/her, etc for gender orientation. That will change.

If you look at English compared to other languages, we have a weird issue with second person pronouns. The singular and plural are both "you". Possible solutions to this are regionally used, such as y'all, yous, youse, and yinz.

To give an example of evolution, check this link out, as it explains how "thou" and it's derivative are basically not used anymore.
