Multiple 1sts, Nylander, and Hertl for Seider?
I'm thinking of shoring up my defensive depth with solid scorers with strong peripherals, and room to grow upwards.
- Mikhail Sergachev (plateauing offensive team)
- Moritz Seider (rising offensive team)
- Rasmus Dahlin (rising but slowly offensive team)
- Noah Dobson (middling offensive team)
I know each provides different options and some are going to be more valuable than others (Seider/Dahlin) but here's what I am willing to part with:
- 2 Firsts (2022 and 2023)
- Nylander
- Hertl
As of now, I have a pending deal for Seider potentially working, but what are your thoughts?

Oh, good idea re: the roster in my signature, but suffice it to say that I am in dire need of G, A, PTS but I do have two firsts in 2022, 2 firsts in 2023, and 1 first in 2024. The two picks in '23 are likely from the two other people in the league we both ranked second-to-last and last this season, so fingers crossed for Bedard and one of Michkov or Fantilli (as of now).
As for the second part of your question, no, there deal is likely 2 firsts and one of Hertl or Nylander, but even that is a bit malleable for now. Those are 4 pieces that I am willing to part with in total in whatever combination.

If you're willing to give up 3 (or worse 4) of those assets for one of those guys, you are paying too much. If you need scoring, you're better off not trading forwards for defense to that level.

wow....i got big shiny toy for you for milion bucks....this is crazy...wow
you can get Roman Josi for less....this is nuts...Seider is good and will get better but i dont see him as a top 5 offensive D at any time...even if he was thats crazy price to pay...only one D in the league could be worth it and thats Makar.

Well I get that you have these assets that you are willing to part company with. That's fine. However I think the consensus here is rather overwhelming in that your willingness to move all those assets for a Seider is just not a very savy move. You also say you are in dire need of offensive points yet you are looking to a defensemen to help with that. Seems to me trying to upgrade a forward to get those extra points is the way to go. I would strongly recommend taking a step back here and reconsidering what you are trying to accomplish and what is a fair price to get this done.
