Sorry, saw the last pick this morning before a meeting, then forgot about it.

Or maybe this is a plan to drive tweetdrivr crazy. One or the other.

I'll make my last pick within the hour.

The rule we make in our local draft is if you don't pay by the time the puck drops of the first game - you get Ryan Reaves instead of your first round pick!!

So we can implement something similar here - if you don't pick by puck drop - Ryan Reaves is all yours! hahaha

Are we going to get all the goalies for our teams added in Fantrax? I’m guessing yes.

Done draft. Solid job everyone getting it done on time. Fun set of picks, and a nice range of the selections.

My theory going into it with pick two was to just grab a top guy and then see which team of the top six or seven that hadn't been picked over and then grab them. It seemed like everyone just assumed Florida and Colorado were going elsewhere and went in other directions though. Wasn't expecting to be able to stock up on a fair set of both.

Halfway through once I have my top two teams locked up to the point that if one of them wins it all that I think I come out ahead of the other guys picking those teams, then I like to pivot to grabbing some top guys from a few bottom teams that are left on the board. This time you guys left Washington (who unfortunately is now matched up against FLA) and LA (who I expect to beat EDM anyways).

We'll see how it all plays out.

My strategy for this one was purely penguin Hunting!!

Pick at the back end of the draft - the Rangers were open and they play the Penguins..

I got the 4 top Rangers.

Then after that I split my back to back picks with one Ranger and one player from another team I thought would make the final 4.

Rangers, Oilers and Panthers, 1 Blue and 1 Wild.

Every team in the playoffs has areas of doubt. Key players hurt, problem areas. Except one...Minnesota. I don’t know why people are sleeping on them.

Minnesota just lost Marcus Foligno to and injury, their centres are a little... unconventional, and the Blues are a very tough and deep team to be going up against in round one.

They're a great team and they could go far, and possibly even all the way, but they're not a sure thing and they do have flaws.
Overall though, some people are probably sleeping on them more than they should, you're right.

Yeah - Foligno is a good player but I wouldn’t consider him key. Greenway does the same job and could use more ice time. Hopefully Foligno comes back soon. Blues are very good - it’s going to be a good series but I don’t see the Blues goaltending holding.

Also - are the rosters complete in FanTrax? If so I’m missing Hornqvist.

Should be good now. But everyone double check their rosters. We had to wrap up the draft just a few minutes ago.

My strategy was similar to EKBro. Draft someone from Colorado/Florida first, and then load up on that team. So I took Huberdeau thinking all the Avs players would go earlier. However, when it came to my second/third round picks, I was shocked Kadri/Landeskog was there. So I switched to them. If I had known they were going to be there, I would have taken MacKinnon first.

Then my strategy was to load up on one underdog team. As I mentioned earlier, I thought Nashville was going to play Calgary and would have a chance to win. But then the standings changed, and I wound up with mostly players from Nashville/Colorado. By then, it was too late to switch teams, so I just kept grabbing them. I think I wound up with six Preds, so if they go far, I'm laughing. If they lose in the first round, I'm crying.

I went very heavy on Pens and now I'm counting on Spicy Pork and Broccoli Boy to keep me alive. Sad!
