    Default ROS Inexpensive Player Options

Points and +/- only. Due to COVID and injuries and sitting at a projected 90 forward games played going unused. Looking at fill my last roster spot with a inexpensive player to get some starts.

Wondering who you would take given the following options. Some are based on better deployment, others on better teams, others are far riskier. Our league if you take a chance on someone and then drop them you retain 25% of their salaries so trying to make this the last add of the season.

D Heinen - Line 2 consistently with Malkin and on PP2.
E Luostarinen - Currently on Line 3 with Marchment and Reinhart, once Lundell is back the lines will get shaken up again but he is not travelling with them this road trip, 7 games on this trip.
M Mamin - Currently on Line 1 with Barkov but only played 27 games this season so seems likely he will be scratched/bumped once Lundell is back.
Bellemare or Maroon - Not going to put up crazy points but have been so solid this year defensively their +/- is strong.
M Joseph - Hasn't done much in the NHL thus far but again tied to a good team with Tampa and will play games.
R McLeod - Take a shot on the young guy currently playing on Draisaitl's line. Once Nug and Pool Party are back this is doubtful to remain.
Tomasino - 4th line but PP2 and potential inexpensive keeper.

I am sure there are more available but I am just beginning my dive into this as our trade deadline is March 28th.

Thanks in advance and will REP where possible!

I'd grab Heinen. Your formats are very different than most of what I play, which is mostly multi-cat, except for the league in my sig which has a lot of odd rules I omit. Luostarinen is also solid. I have both in a deep cap league and they see active roster time often.

I tend to ignore +/-, though, so understand that.

Thanks Stevegamer! I will REP you when I can.

The +/- is unpredictable but that's also why I am leaning towards players on teams playing well this season.

Heinen, Luostarinen, and Tomasino are the three I like. Tomasino more so as a potential keeper. The tough call between the other two is Heinen has Malkin and PP2 where Luostarinen has PK1, which doesn't equate to many points (well last night it did lol), but is surrounded with a ton of talent as well. I honestly think between the two its a coin flip and ROS will probably end up within 5 points of each other in our format.

Tomasino for me. Kids 20 years old and clicking along at almost .5 pts per game with minimal 5 V 5 ice time. He's put up 7 pts on PP2 however. That's significant. He has way more upside than any of the others, I mean, way more. He could be a potential keeper for you with two more years on his ELC.

I'd like to have you think about guys traded to new teams. I think Vatrano, for example, gets a nice bump due to ice time.

That is a great point! Brings in a little risk as they try different deployments but another one would be M Johansson at $1.5m and being tried on the top line with Kuz and Ovi. Or in deeper leagues an ice time decrease but potentially Hagel at $1m with Tampa as daily has him slotted in with Point and Palat possibly.
