Each team is splitting his contract. The Browns are paying their QB position roughly $60m and Brissett might be their starter.

Browns made such a big mess of this, and it makes all the other trades this offseason involving QBs were ridiculous. Wentz to Washington for 2 2nds+3rd looks insane price for a QB when Mayfield went for a 5th.

Week 1 is Browns vs Panthers. Wonder if Darnold or Mayfield will be the starter for that.

Mayfield took a $3m paycut actually. So Browns paying 10.5m and Panthers covering $5m. Carolina won this.

Apparently a clause in Kyler Murray's contract is that he needs to do his "homework" for 4 hours a week during the season. Basically meaning the Cards weren't happy with his off the field work ethic. Easily distracted by playing video games and watching movies rather than going over game plays and vids. No video games or The Great Gatsby unless he does his homework first lol.

Imagine having to put that clause in the contract for your starting QB... I guess it could be worse though, you could have one saying he's not allowed within 50 feet of a massage therapist.

They've said he was already doing 4hrs/week, but they want to know for sure? That's a lie lol. It would explain why he's good for 6weeks, then when teams adjust to him he can't adjust back.

I still think he's not a QB that will consistently win you playoff games. I won't say he'll never do it because a broken clock is right twice. But he will likely never win you a Superbowl. I wonder if this is a clause where they can void his deal if he doesn't hold up his end. Which is smart by the team because if they want out of the deal, it's an easy way out.

So Watson gets 6 games from an independent ruling. NFL and NFLPA can both choose to appeal. PA have already said they won’t. NFL has stated even before the ruling they wanted a 1 year suspension, now we will see how serious they were. Also, all massages that Watson will have has to be within the Browns organization. Men only? NFL continues to be one big LOL.

Ridley got an indefinite suspension, losing $11.1m so far for betting $1,500 over 3 bets. Watson has gotten a 6game suspension, losing $350,000 for 30 sexual assault civil suits against you....this shouldn't happen. It just shouldn't.

But it really shouldn't shock us. The league suspended Ray Rice for 2 games, and in the news conference announcing the suspension, Goodell said that he "didn't get it right" in deciding Rice's punishment...uh what? Then Rice filed a formal grievance against the NFL for wrongful termination and won (a rumoured $3.5m) because the Ravens released Rice after he was suspended for 2 games.

It's so sad the NFL, because it'll only really follow the Browns and won't truly be an issue for the NFL. And if Watson is winning...it'll disappear even quicker.
