McDavid, Teravainen for Hedman, Rust, E.Lindholm

Hi All. Trade 2for1 or 2for3 is a dream for a fantasy GM, because it's an upgrade to roster and also space for streaming slot.

In our 1year, no keepers league, I just got

offered: McDavid, Teravainen and Toffoli
for my: Hedman, Rust, E.Lindholm

Toffoli is nonimportant piece with value of common streamer, so I consider this trade as 2 for 3.

1st impression is a hesitating reject, but I would like to know your opinions.

I am 6/12, but everybody from 4th to 11th are very close. 8 are going to playoff.

I have already 3 straight centers, so McDavid would by my 4th center.
Offering GM wanted Scheifelle before. Should I counter with Hedman, Rust, Scheifele? Or Rust, Lindholm, Scheifele? Or is it still too much ?

Last weeks I had my roster full, so I had to drop/trade cheap players like Kyrou, Hall, Reinhart, Duchene, Barrie because of schedule because of possibility to stream.
I hate to have full roster. So this is a possibility to create a roster space.
I know the Hedman, Rust and Lindholm are elite players. Normally I would not post this, but the other side is offering McDavid

note to goalies: I will trade/drop Sorokin this week, because Islanders sucks and Varlamov is back. Mrazek was just for yesterday's fail. I will pick Oettinger as my 3rd goalie. This leaves 1 free slot for skater/streamer.

With only two centers starting, and you having Crosby, Scheifele, and Eichel, you might be one of the few teams out there who doesn't "need" McDavid. Still, I think the trade is pretty decent all things considered. Rust would be a sell high, and Lindholm's value could take a hit if somehow Gaudreau doesn't re-sign with Calgary as a UFA. See if you can find a way to get Scheifele in there for Hedman, even if it means you have to give up another piece, like Husso.

I think that make a significant change, so please reconsider ;-)

Argument for getting McDavid:

McDavid is having a hell of a season in regards to xGF and generating scoring chances. He's due for a massive 5v5 production heater.

Even though it’s a 1 year, I’d still take the McDavid side. I’d try to get Hedman out and see if OGM would take someone like Scheifele. However to me it wouldn’t be a deal breaker. Good luck.

This definitely a yes, since that gm offered the trade then counter with Schifiele instead of one of those three players. If they are adamant they want those 3 then include schifiele as a 4 th and try to get a strong LW in return since you would only have one after trading Rust. Plus mcdavid has more games left due to covid
