Drop Merzlikins or Francouz for Husso?
Hi - Goalies are a bit of a premium in my league, and I have been . Merz has been up and down, Francouz has been great recently, but I am not sure how many starts he will get.
Drop either of them for Husso who is currently available in my league? I know STL has minimal games coming up in the next few weeks, but I am in 1st and can afford it.
Team in sig, and goalie cats are: W/SV/Sv%

I don’t know that I’d do either of those. I’d hold and see where all this goes for now.

My opinion has always been that Francouz is the heir apparent to the throne of Colorado. They let Grubauer walk because Francouz outplayed him quite handily, even if he missed a short year due to surgery and made Grubauer low priority to resign because Makar and Landeskog needed new contracts. Seattle signing him to an long 5.9million dollar contract doesn't sound like much for a goalie that went 30-9-1 with 7 Shutouts, but the Avs let him go.Originally Posted by Louie Vega

Thanks all for the feedback so far.
I will hold for now to see how this week shakes out, although now Kuch went into Covid protocol, so I can temporarily stash him on IR+ and snag Husso...though I don't want to hold 4 goalies for long..

I cant see Kuch in your roster. How many IR slots your league have?

Husso will be a UFA and there'll be teams that are interested in him (EDM, BUF to name a couple). Is there any value in keeping Husso and potentially trading one out before deadline? I would drop Dobson if there's value on Husso.

Whoops, my bad - thanks for the call out, update my sig.
We have 1 IR (currently Eichel is in that slot, and 2x IR+which now has Kuch and Luukkonen
E. Kane is just burning a roster spot while I wait for updates on if he will play...

Put Kucherov on IR as you did, get Husso. If somebody other will be injured, drop Luukkonen.
You will buy the time of some days to figure it out, until Kucherov get's healthy. Or keep him there as Tampa have only 6 matches next month and you have more time to think this through and you are 1st.
Either you make some trade (preferably 2 for 1 to create a roster space) or destiny will sort it out (some injury happen or E.Kane case will be solved or one of your goalies will lose form).

Husso is awesome right now and Binnington is struggling, I'd pick him up in a heartbeat
when Kuch comes back probably drop Merzlikins but that's something you can monitor
