Default Rask vs talbot rest of year only

Rask or talbot for the rest of the year?

I am contending and have Shesterskin & Bobrovsky as the other 2 Gs.

Standard goalie cats (GS, GAA, SV%, WINS, SHUTOUT)

My guess is to go with Rask. Both Rask &Talbot are in a timeshare situation at this point in the season.
I think Rask will get you more wins the rest of the way though. Also Talbot coming off of an LBI, possible that flares up again.

Rest of year only? It's close. Could be a coin flip.

My gut says to keep Talbot. Last year this same thing happened where Kahkonen got hot and won 9 straight in Feb, early March. But any sign of a bad game and boom, Talbot back in. Coach doesn't seem to give a lot of rope

Talbot went 15-4-4 last year after Kahkonen's little hot stretch. Kahkonen went 5-4-0

Rask just came back from hip surgery and won 2 games against bad struggling teams and was blown out and pulled against the 1 good team he faced. Ullmark has been strong lately as well.

If it wasn't just rest of this year and it included next year, then Talbot becomes the no brainer choice. Rask is knocking on retirements door. In fact we were all surprised he came back for this short deal.

Check your schedules. Honestly this is close enough that I feel it's highly dependent or the guys you already have and the schedule. It may be a wash, but there may be a clearly better option when you look at that angle.

Bruins do have a number of games in hand on much of the league, but that may still not be enough detail.

Honestly, it's hard to say, really it's a coin flip, go with your gut at this point.

Rask: Pro's - Elite goaltender, has literally never had a bad season stat wise, has been the Bruin's "Guy" for the past decade, coaches can say whatever they like, there definitely is a loyalty factor that comes into play at times, he's 34 but also has been an elite goalie his entire stay in NHL, elite goalies (or players of any type) seem to have more staying power then their less talented peers.
Con's - Coming off a long hiatus and from hip surgery, we saw how badly that affected Schneider, Bruins signed Ullmark this off-season to a nice contract and for the most part has lived up to that contract.

Talbot: Pro's - Minny looks like the better team as a whole, they're firing on all cylinders, had a bit of a resurgence last year with them, for all intent and purposes, he was the starter at the start of the season, Khako has 100% outplayed him so far this year but we've all seen time and time again that it takes a long time for the backup to wrest the starting gig away from the starter.
Con's - He has been outplayed by Khako, he's 34 (same as Rask) but wherein Rask is and always has been an elite top tier goalie, Talbot has been all over the place in his career, not a lot of goalies like that are starters in their mid 30's, outside of the few elite goalies ie; Luongo/Brodeur/Lundkvist etc; this is the age where they start to lose their hold on being considered a legit starting goalie.

If you can't decide, flip a coin lol, let the fates decide.

Talbot pulled in the 3rd tonight while ahead…maybe tweaked something. Rask starting b2b but maybe because they’re saving Ullmark for Wed at Colorado but gives up a 5 spot. Husso available?
