Coach said today Talbot could have finished the game but he erred to the side of caution. Talbot should be starting the next one as its a few days.

He was earmarked to be the starter after he outplayed Grubauer and the reason they let him walk to Seattle.

Kuemper is going to ask for a raise and not get it. Francouz is going to get an ullmark contract 5x5 and take over. He's already taking 50% of the starts and outplaying kuemper.
I don't think this is accurate. if they were comfortable with Francouz as their starter they wouldn't have traded a 1st and Timmins for a goaltender with only 1 year remaining on his deal.

I expect Kuemper to get the bulk of starts if healthy. same with Talbot.

They were unsure of Francouz's health going into the season, and the rest of the goalies on their roster at the time had a collective 1 NHL game played. As a top contender, you can't go into the season with just Francouz even if there were no questions around his health. Still need a backup for him. It will be a 50/50ish time share and whoever plays better down the stretch will start in the playoffs.

Its accurate. Francouz needing offseason surgery and missing the entire shortened year was the factor in acquiring Kuemper. Kuemper is gone after this season and Francouz will be way cheaper to resign

I actually picked up Pavel and instead of dropping Talbot dropped a middle of the pack D man. I think COL has a 50/50 situation here. Either way, Binnington is a whole separate issue for me right now so having both Cam and Pavel will hopefully pay some dividends.

Yup, good thing I held Cam. Including today's game going back to Jan 10 Pavel started 5 of possible 13. It's not quite 50/50 but still decent for my 4th goalie. What I really wish I had done is cuffed Binner with Husso but he was gone by the time I made this thread.
