    Default Patrick Laine

    Hey guys,

Do you think Laine will start producing like he was at the start of the year again or should i start considering a trade or a drop. I have been watching him the past few games and he has not impressed me. At this point I think he is my worst forward and I need to drop someone to make room for my IR guys coming back, my team and cats are below for reference.

Let me know what I should do.

    Cheers

I guess he will start producing back but I was also a bit impatient with him and traded him a week ago with a Pasta owner as impatient as I was. Not regretting at all.

What has happened to this kid. So many were down on Puljujarvi for a few years while he Laine was doing so well, now it's like a role reversal. Puljujarvi is trending in the right direction and Laine is headed in the wrong direction. Just weird the way his career has gone.

With your scoring format I'd definitely hold on Laine. Drop Zucc to make room if necessary.

I'm in the same spot with Laine, but with your format and weight for goals he's a good hold IMO. I sat him last night and of course he scored.

And your IR guys have no timeline so no rush there.

Regarding his slump, reasons may be in this article by Greg Wyshynski / ESPN: Patrik Laine balances hockey fun with personal grief.

Very fair point, can't be easy on top of everything else. Contract year, COVID, less than stellar team, injury ... then you lose your dad. F*

Laine had a great start to the year. But between injury, personal loss, and a strange schedule, he's had trouble coming back. I'd be patient. He will find his groove again.

RW - Marner, Meier (LW), Laine(C/LW), Jarvis (C)

I agree. I do like Zucc if goals weren't weighted like they are, so Laine for me with goals considered.
