Brutal. Feels like the beginning of the pandemic not the end. Most on here are probably happy about this.

Not sure what you mean by this.

I have read a lot of people's comments around here that fear Covid like it's the second coming of the plague. I am fully vaccinated or I was, seems like you need a booster now but enough is enough this is out of hand. Anyone who is still calling for restrictions is a Muppet in my opinion. The data does not support it and other things could have been done to easily avoided this.

The absolute stupidity of how Covid has been handled - that young healthy athletes need to fear a virus (Omicron) that won’t make them sick….. I remember in April and May, 2020 when Pennsylvania (US) Governor shut down golf courses and tennis courts. Ultimate “social distancing” sports.

Over 80% of the deaths in Canada have been in people over 70+ years of age. Now talking about severe outcomes, this same age group accounts for 43% of all hospitalizations and 32% of ICU admissions.

Here’s a simple solution to prevent deaths and overwhelming hospitalizations when outbreaks occur, lock up our seniors. In human you say? While they have done a lot of things already that would be considered against our human rights. Pay the senior citizen’s a $1000 each month to stay at home, provide them with the best virtual technology to keep in communication with their loved ones, and then let them out when hospitalizations or cases have started to drop.

Boom pandemic over.

A lot of seniors in old age homes and things... basically all ready locked up. They still get outbreaks, staff can still bring it in.

Don’t bother. It’s pretty worthless and is referencing the contagion period and how it might relate to testing for Omicron. Pretty much says we don’t really know. Completely useless.

Basically, for those people that wondered why flu cases went from ~35,000,000 each of the last 8 years prior to Covid, to only ~1,900 flu cases in 2020-21, CDC finally admitted it.

2 years ago, you also could’ve listened to Kary Mullis, the inventor of the PCR test that said it was worthless as an individual test for Covid. This was before he was killed obviously.

But hey, some people love living in fear of air. To each their own.
