lol, cancelled after 2 players test positive? Did they not think about what would happen if several players tested positive? If they didn't expand the rosters as part of a contingency plan, that's on the IIHF and very weak.

Part of me agrees with tweetdrivr that the tournament is effectively over, but I'm an eternal optometrist (see what I did hear?). With how contagious this virus variant is, I'm surprised to see so few positive cases.

I thought that they were not doing the whole full bubble thing? Not sure.

Anyways, as of right now it still seems like only the 2 players were positive, so good chance things proceed, but just with the one forfeit.

At this point, unless there is more information coming out, the idea that the tournament is over seems highly overblown.

Notwithstanding the idiotic comments from the QAnon crowd, forfeiture is BS. They should either play on or postpone. Losing a game in a short tournament is far too steep a price for something the teams have little control over.

Yeah, when it was just 1 team with a couple players, it was no big deal. But if it's going to be multiple teams then this is probably done for.

At least they got a few games in I guess. The women didn't even get that much.
